What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Absent mindedly, I took off my neck knife and gave it a twirl by the cord. The sheath grew instantly lighter and a tiny thunk sounded, without the expected clatter of micarta and steel on stone.

And then there it lay safe at the end of its flight.

glad the knife and more importantly you, didn't get hurt. a new DM testing standard starts for neck knives...😆
 
Looking closer at it since I haven't done any work to it since a regrind after lots of resharpening.

I'm going to try it like this plus a bit of sanding sponge action now and see if I like this better. It no longer has as full a handled grip. It is rounder and I like this direction ergonomically. I shied away at first wondering about rolling in the hand on hard cuts. Soon the wondering will be ended.
