What's so special about the Busses?

I don't recall the name of the event, but the knife was supposed to be a Meaner Street (x2 if I remember correctly). Shipping was quoted as 10 weeks but that was early this spring, March or April ish. Called my CC info in but received no further info, or knives, and didn't bother to follow up.

Not a big deal really, the Meaner Streets are just smaller than any other Busse I have and I just wanted to see how a 'mid-size' felt.

I take it then that you did arrange for payment (ie. called in and provided CC info). Call Busse, and they'll let you know what's up.

Phone number is here: http://www.bussecombat.com/ordering/index.shtml

As mentioned earlier in this thread, the Busse web site is mostly a placeholder.

In addition to the above mentioned Company Store you might want to watch their forum here, Jerry often runs sale threads there. If you try to reach this site on a Friday night and get a 404 error it may well be a Busse sale night. His crowd is big enough to DOS Bladeforums.

Good luck with it though. The last time I got in on one I received a confirmation that I'd scored a blade, but it never showed up. You might want to integrate yourself into the culture first, as that may increase your chance of success.

Are you kidding me with this?? Do you really believe that???
Yes, um... "Resistance is futile"...
OK, the "truth" is first you have to participate in a week of intensive hazing in which we all take turns lightly slicing your skin a 1000 times... If you survive the agonizing pain, THEN you can buy a Busse...
Or maybe we gather info and prepare a dossier & psychological profile on you, and depending on the findings you are approved or disapproved for Busse ownership...
Oh wait... Here, drink this Cool-Aid & proclaim your allegiance to Jerry Busse... LOL
...How about, "Are you an INFIdel?", to which you reply: "You bet your sweet azz I am."

...Crap, I just gave up the secret phrase, now they're going to come & take me away... HELP MEEEEeeeeeeeeeee.... :foot:

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'm so tired of hearing this type of BS... Jerry is in the business of selling high quality hard-use knives, NOT trying to run a CULT, ok? Jeez  Gimme a break.

jaxx, you're giving away the rituals?

im so disappointed, and still recovering from my initiation.

Hey... What are YOU doing here??? OMG, PLEASE don't tell "The Others", you KNOW what they'll DO to me!!!! PLEASE!!!!:eek::eek: "They" will strip me of my INFI & kill me slowly with wet noodles!!
NOOOOOoooooooooooo!!!!!!!

:foot: ;) :D:D

LMAO!

Sheesh, what can I say... Ya read enough of these, ya just can't help but respond... So I'm trying a li'l sarcastic humor. LOL

fortunately for you, part of my initiation was the traditional "chopping of the thumbs", so i cant carry much infi anymore.

but i can order all i want!!!

No and yes.

Lots of knives are traded between Busse forum regulars. You have to read the forum, and wade through a good many threads dedicated to obscure pork references, in order to know when a sales event is even going to happen. New arrivals at the Company Store are announced there. There are threads there announcing that a 'box of INFI' has arrived and the photos are of knives I can't find for sale anywhere, so they must come from some dealings not available to the general public.

So yes, being a regular appears to have benefits.

Which is fine by me.

I'm not trying to malign anyone's consumer acumen here. Busse makes excellent knives. There is no need to overpunctuate.

We were all new at some point... How, do ya figure, were we able to get what we wanted? The guy who posts about these "boxes of INFI" has a link in his sig line... Have you ever clicked on it??? Really, it's NOT as hard as you make it seem to be. Being a regular doesn't HURT, but doesn't really have "benefits" other than getting to know some really good guys in the Busse forum. The integration comment is what got my attention, 'cause that's crap. ALL offerings are available to the general public, BUT... They sell out quickly almost every time, and when they're gone, they're gone... So yes, paying attention to the threads definitely helps. The forum is available to the general public, so everyone has access to the same information.

A SPORTER ?!?!!

Everyone KNOWS the only REAL Harley is the Knucklehead! LOL

My old one, when I was young and dumb and didn't break quite so easily, was a '62 Pan in a '48 frame that had been 'somewhat' modified.

Slow, loud and proud.

Rob

I am now slowly being consumed by envy, I hate you. :p

I have panhead wishes and knucklehead dreams...... :o

Got cheated out of a nice shovel once, but thats another story.:grumpy:

Dont MAKE me tell these people how you got your "Jaxxhammer" knickname!!

Loose lips sink ships. :grumpy:

Citori, why don't you come to the Indy shows any longer??

Been a couple years since you've stopped by man.

I bring INFI goodness every trip bro!!

Try www.bussecompanystore.com next time a box arrives.

Click on Order Here and make sure you check all the pages. Your consumer acumen will go up, and Jaxx will stop browbeating you with exclamation points.

There are Badger LEs and four versions of Game Wardens available there right now.

Wow, now this is really like a thread in the Busse forum! Even Amy-0's joined us!

See what we mean about Busse customer service and how the people running the business get involved here?

I still get to the 1500 every now and then, not as much as I'd like to. The few times I've been lately I've not seen a Busse table so our schedules must not be synched.

If there are knives on the table I'll have to make it to the next one. I don't think I've actually handled any since the Ergo days and I'd like to check out the newer stuff.

Cool.

I've only missed a couple in the past 4 years, either due to Blade (June Shows) or health issues (mine or others).

Stop on by man.

And ... if you're experiencing any difficulties getting to INFI ... we are here to help you!

Without overpunctuation.

You have but to ask. :D

We'll be looking for you at the next meeting, Jaxx. You've got some penance coming your way, brother! To even dare utter the secrets away from the holy mud!
