What's that you're eating?

Lunch in Sausalito yesterday after visiting with my daughter-in-law & 2 grandkids at the Bay Area Discovery Museum -- a popular "interactive" playground for kids located near the north end of the Golden Gate Bridge.

This is what the bridge looked like that morning but the skies cleared later in the day.

Was trying to eat at "Fish" (a very popular seafood restaurant) but it was too busy and found another seafood restaurant -- the "Sausalito Seahorse" -- that was almost entirely empty when I arrived, located just a block away which was just fine:

Appetizer: Sauted Mussels served w/a glass of Modelo on draft:

Main: 1/2 order of a Smoked Salmon Foaccia Sandwich w/a Small Side Salad and a 2nd glass of Modelo on draft.

Ever been to a place in Sausalito called "Copita?" Wife and daughter and I ate there several years ago. Biggest selecttion of Tequilas I ever saw. Must have been more than 100. Food was good. Tequila was better!

No never heard of it but I just looked it up and have walked by it many times. I'm not thinking Mexican food when I'm in Sausalito and also tend to avoid the restaurants on Bridgeway which cater mainly to toursits but I'll consider it if I'm walking by there again.

FWIW, my father use to work as a sous chef at Ondines (now the site of The Trident) and at Spinnakers (which is still there). He ended his career in the hotel kitchen at the "Hyatt on Union Square."

Wasn't Ondine's on Bridgeway? It's been a long time - maybe I'm confused.

When I visit the bay area, I rarely dine in Sausalito anyway. Two of my favorite restaurants are in The City: Fior d'Italia for the ambiance and history, and Scoma's for the fresh seafood.
