What's that you're eating?

Those look fantastic!
Thanks. Maybe the best I ever made, and I have probably cooked more than 100 racks of ribs all kinds of ways (the stories I could tell!). Tender, juicy, and sooooooo much smokey flavor.

I missed not having a working Weber . . . the kluges I have been dealing with since my previous Weber finally fell apart are just sad.

So the new grill won't poke holes in things or cut things to pieces like a CPK will. But I think I'll keep it anyway.

FRESH wild Copper River Alaskan sockeye salmon. Swimming yesterday. Dinner tonight.

Cedar planked with asparagus and rice pilaf. 😋😋😋 Not inexpensive, but maybe the best salmon I ever had.
That looks so good!

We’ve been doing more day trips lately. Ended up over-indulging for lunch today. I thought I was stuffed but now I want plank-fired salmon. Asparagus looks perfect too. Nice job!

Cherry season got a late start in my area this year but it's in full swing now.

Found a new sushi restaurant which was very good. Much better than other sushi restaurants that I've been to hereabouts.

Tried a variety of dishes, including a very attractive and delicious platter of Uni, Otoro & a Scallop "shooter" and Ankimo (Monk Fish Liver), which are pictured below. This is going to be my "go-to" sushi place from now on. :)

The weather’s been so nice lately. The hottest I’ve seen was 81F a few days ago but always breezy. Been doing lots of grilling. Mostly chicken. Bone-in ribeye last night.

Cool, breezy, and sunny so far this morning. Got all the windows opened up. Finished a plumbing project and was feeling proud of myself. Decided to stop and make pasta with leftover steak for an early lunch.

I stopped for lunch at a Thai restaurant in Pleasanton after going on an Eagle Rare 10 buying spree. Bought 8 bottles of Eagle Rare 10; 5 at a LLS in Livermore and 3 more at an affiliated LLS in Pleasanton. See: Bourbon & Blades Thread, Post #1252.

Had a couple bottles of BeerLao (a Laotian beer that I'd never heard of before) and a big bowl of Tom Yum Noodle Soup.
