What's that you're eating?

Lunch yesteday at my local sports bar. A jumbo chilli dog, fries and a glass of Blind Pig IPA.

Mom's getting tenderloin for Mother's day tomorrow. I bought a whole tenderloin yesterday, 7+ lbs. This forced me to finish sharpening my new cimeter today (although she made a silly comment that we have lots of knives that could slice it...).
yoko yoko I'm sold on the cimeter, it just glides through the slices. Two inches thick, should be deluxe. Now they're in a marinade until tomorrow.

AWESOME!!!!!!!!

I hope to put mine to work on some poor man burnt ends tomorrow !!!!!!

Cimeters makes slicing through meat fun , did you use a forward push cut?

cimeters and Richard338 Richard338 kick ass!!!!!!

I need an explanation lol

Is that a 4 patty burger?
Yepper! In-N-Out Quad burger with jalapeños added to the fixings. ;)

I spy a 2 patty burger, a 4 patty burger, and a patty in a wrapper all by itself!
You are correct my friend. My wife and I always bring our lil Letty!! She likes In-N- Out as well. We are up in Denver car shopping and they don't have them in New Mexico as of yet. :)

Nice!

Tell us more! Did you buy it whole or peeled? Prime or choice?

We're having tenderloin today, too . . . butcher had a special on USDA choice tenderloin for $15/pound. I love prime beef . . . especially if it's aged. Except for tenderloin, where I do not think the extra money really adds much of anything.

Recognized In-N-Out from the pic.

What you have there is a Protein Style and a 4x4.

In-N-Out is one of the few things I miss from Kali, along with being able to get liquor at any ol' grocery store. When you're out all day running errands, etc., it's great to be able to swing by In-N-Out on the way home and enjoy a darn good burger without having to cook.

Beloved Cali, becomes a bit less of "Kali" as you drive past Redding on the I-5 northbound in Shasta County and on your way into the Redwoods ;)

ETA: next time around, I'll be sure to snap some photos of our protected Roosevelt elks as they freely graze the meadows without a friggin care in the world! Yum!

Nominally whole and choice (Safeway), but it came how you see it in the picture, no trimming needed. Definitely a nicer piece than they've had before.

I think there is Cali and there is Kali. I've visited the former, but both times I lived in the latter. 😖

We have a similar thing here. There is The Commonwealth and there is NoVa. I love The Commonwealth. But I live in NoVa. 😖
