What's that you're eating?

Pre-TG: I roasted the wings & one of the legs of the 18# turkey that bought last week.

Just some random shots. The final shot is the thigh off of the leg ready to be served w/some steamed rice, canned corned & jellied cranberry sauce. Just regular meal. Nothing fancy.

Also made over 1 qt of turkey gravy, not in the shot, which was on the stovetop ready to pour on the turkey but neglected to take a pic of that. Still have a lot left & can make more and will add a shot of it later. 🤷‍♂️

And a couple pics of a XLB (Xiao Long Bao) only meal at my local dumpling restaurant. A friend and I went thru 2 platters of XLB. :)

Also bought a couple of Dungeness Crabs yesterday at my local Asian market which I steamed and served w/a salt & ginger oil sauce, sourdough bread & more canned corned but I neglected to take any pics of this meal.

Howver, if you care to search for them, I have posted pics of a similar meal in this thread before. 🤷‍♂️

A lot of people in the SF Bay Area, especially Asians, serve Dungeness Crabs for TG (instead of or in addition to turkey) for TG. So, I had a double pre-TG "celebration" this week. :)

I too put ketchup on my dogs. Usually just a little on one side of the bun, liberal amount of mustard on the other side. Thought you could use some solidarity.
 
😳 I'm still pissed that Totino's Party Pizzas are $1.97 at Walmart! That looks delicious, though. 👍
Used to be 10 for $10! Love those damn pizzas.

Started smoking a brisket early this morning. It is the final meat ingredient in my traditional Thanksgiving Brunswick Stew that keeps everyone fed today and tomorrow morning while we cook the rest of the food. About 11# of meat in this pot. 2# bacon, 3# ground beef, 2# ground venison, and 4# of smoked brisket.
