What's that you're eating?

Mesquite smoked sausage, smoked with mesquite. Maybe some sauce, maybe not.

That glazed carrot dish I was going to make the other night but we didn't have enough carrots. The recipe calls for, 'baby carrots'. Screw that, I'll do whole cut up carrots. Peeled.

Whole steamed yellow potatoes. Because I gotta use up the bag before they go bad. Chicken broth, garlic powder in the steam water. The potatoes will get sprinkled with salt, pepper, garlic powder. Steamed for about 40 minutes.

New England Clam Chowda. THICCCC!!!

Beef and noodles, ground beef.

I'm going to try to make meat sauce taste like cheeseburger. Mix it with egg noodles boiled in beef broth.

Make enough for dinner with some left over for breakfast. You'd be surprised what you can set a fried egg on top of. Or maybe not. Anyway, easy breakfast.
Try an over easy egg on a piece of wheat toast that has pimento cheese warmed on it. Don't think you'll hate me.

I like to cook and bake crazy stuff, and I recently made this for the first time and it might be the best food I have ever put in my gullet…. I suggest getting two bottles of Cabernet Sauvignon or Burgundy wine, so you have one to use in the recipe and one to drink when you eat the meal….. honestly so good it was surprising - I used trimmed brisket for best results…..

Black beans. Using some of the Thanksgiving ham.

Rinsed off and let soak for a couple hours. Faucet hot water.

After the beans are cooked an hour with nothing added. It's time to add stuff. Cumin, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, salt. Can of diced tomatoes.

I fried the diced onions along with some bacon. Caramelized and then added to the pot. Along with the ham.

It's gotta boil at least an hour more. Probably two more.
