What's that you're eating?

Had a delicious sweet potato turkey skillet last night. Healthy and tastes great!

I think I've earned a bit of cautious optimism on this bread thing.

Amateur tip: when a recipe says to cover the dough when baking, a loose piece of foil over the top is not good enough. You need a lid of some sort to cover the whole thing and leave room to rise.

Looking good. Made a loaf of sourdough today. Finally starting to get a bit of that sourdough tang.

Makes sense......I've seen that with jalapenos....not sure why I didn't consider that it would be the same with habaneros!!!

In you experience, do they get mellower with age?
No they usually get hotter with age. If you eat them when they are green they are barely hot. They also seem to get hotter in hotter weather and if you only give them a minimal amount of water. I’m not sure why the ones from the store are milder than they should be, but they often are in my experience.

Capsaicin concentration is water dependent, so more water = plumper looking, it not as hot. Shriveled looking produce doesn’t sell as well.
