What's that you're eating?

Three-day-weekend. The wife made some killer snacks and a Brussel-sprouts-and-bacon bake. Looking forward to relaxing with leftovers tomorrow.

Glad I'm not on any caloric restrictions, cuz I'd hate you 😂

Hey thanks! That will make her day!

Not really, no. We just like food!

She’s the eldest of five girls, and was partly raised by grandparents in Mexico who taught her to cook. When I was younger I quit my first manufacturing job, pulled my 401k, and stayed in Rome for three months. When I got back I went to work building commercial stone hearth cooking equipment. We just both believe that eating well is extra important in these crazy times. :)

Thank you! It’s all about varied colors and textures and cooking methods, as far as appetizing photos go. I think there’s something in our brains that respond especially to grilled things. Honestly, most days we just cook potatoes or lentils-and-rice in leftover chicken stock. Not photogenic at all, but tasty.

She’s addicted to scrambled eggs and ham like I’ve never seen. I think I’ve made her a plate almost every morning for ten years. Never gets tired of it! 😂

A few details, please. Tri tip? Time/temp. That looks delightful.
Yes sir, tri tip, not sure how long or temp, I go by how the meat feels. Was feeling lazy and didn’t want to grill it so whipped out a pan with butter on the stove, just used salt & pepper. Baked potato with butter, salt & pepper. Put it all on a classy AF paper plate 😂
