What's the average age around here?

Old enough to know better, young enough to try it again. :D

That works out to around 6 in dog years.

Or, something like 41 in people years.

I'm 41. You youngsters enjoy it while you can, 'cause one day you'll wake up and find 10 years somehow slipped by you.

Just turned 30 on 1/22....never would have thought I'd make it to this age, in fact I think I liked my 20's so much that next year I'm going to start counting backwards!

Well, I'm glad to see a broad range of people around here, Just about what I expected, but definitly good news. Thanx

I'm 28 and suddenly time seems like it's flying by at a dizzying pace.

Anyone get the average yet. :)

Wow. I thought that most of you guys were about ready for a dirt nap. Now it looks like I may actually weigh in a little older than the average. I'm 36, the age where you just start to realize that you’re not exactly young anymore.

young enough to still fool around, old enough to know better, crazy enough to not care.

18, turn 19 on 3/21, and been carrying since 3/21/1989... 5th bday gift from my grandfather. still have that one.

I get carded occassionally, been buying whiskey for 3yrs. helps to be surrounded by the 25-35 age group most of the time. I no longer act my age, but experience(or lack there-of)shows the difference.

Will be 43 in April.

I clearly remember a time out at Garner Park ragging on an uncle who turned 40.... I was like 17.

Had a great buddy named Gary. He always said he'd make my life hell when I turned 30.... he never got the chance, died in '88... when I was 28.

I was one of the ones who never even considered that I would be 40. Was in my 30's just last week it seems.

Have carried a knife pretty much since teens (mostly small lockback Bucks and Old Timers - later Gerbers)... got a real knife (Benchmade) about a year ago, maybe a bit more. Learned how good SAKs are about 6 months ago.

Always had flashlights too... but have some really good ones since 3rd quarter of '02....

I'm lookin' at my drivers license and it tells me that I was born in 1967 that would make me uhhh... oh crap 35! when did THAT happen!?

I've heard it said that "you really don't know how to live until you are fifty". I'll be there in April and time does seem to go by faster as you get older. Only been collecting knives (Spyderco)since this past summer when I found these forums but I always had a knife on me since I was about ten. Mostly SAK's but there was a period in the 80's when I carried a Gerber Folding Sportsman II and a Gerber Mark II boot knife with me at all times. I can still feel the "cat tongue" finish on the Mark II abrading the inside of my leg, ouch.

well i'm 18 almost 19 and have been lurking here since i was 14, got my first knife when i was five and started carrying when i was 12. I now own 4 different customs including 2 elishiwitzes my pride and joys and am counting down the days till concealed weapons permit that way i can carry my gun. fun place good to see all the age differences
