What's the average age around here?

Looks like I am past the average slightly!! Will be 65 next month.

That's okay, Walt. Don't think of yourself as past the average. Think of yourself as above average. :)

I'm 22 and like others, I'm supposed to learn what working for a living feels like after I graduate with my BSN this May. I still think that 18 hours of class, 24 hours of clinical, and 22 hours of work at my job a week make me feel plenty enough.;)

Wow. I thought that most of you guys were about ready for a dirt nap.

Not quite yet.

47. Kind of surprises me sometimes when I stop and think about it.

Born in 1957. Dad gave me my first knife in '63 and have been in love with'em ever since. I've been accumulating since then as finances permitted. Collecting them really took off in the late 80's. Been making knives since '93. Nine of those years at the hobbyist level.

This is a far more age diverse crowd than I ever imagined. It's a good thing.:D

All the best,

31 but I've been told I look like mid-20s. I started going grey at 17 but it's still mostly attached to my head so I guess that's okay.

Good Music!!!

I'm 87 yrs old this April. Everyone here calls me gramps. I don't mind. You gotta go by the name of something....

Actually I just turned 35.

Made half centry mark this last November. Like so many others 18 year old trapped in a 50 year old body. If only to free that 18 year old mind.................

What the heck am I saying. At 18 I had no money and not nearly as many knives! :p

In case anyone is wondering so far the average age is 36.39726027, of course that was thrown off a little by people who count their age in decades (;)) For them I just went with a SWAG.

Okay, so I'm bored :D

Never thought I would ever see 60 with my lifestyle when I was younger but the last few years slowed down when I got hurt on the job, and was forced into medical retirement from the government.
But as I get older I enjoy life more, and enjoy knives more too, and I've been buying, collecting knives for over 50 years!!!! Most have come, and gone, and now down to only about 250 in my collection.
My wife(Luana) is 20 years younger than I(an LEO), and we have been married for over 18 years, and she is a knife knut also, and has her own collection of customs, and productions. That woman I think has a lot to do with keeping me young. 35 year old mind in a 60 year old body :D
Have been on these knifeforums for almost 5 years, and enjoy every minute of it, enjoy being on here every day, several times a day.
Well I'm tired now from all this typing, and time to hit the Geritol so I can come back, and read more.:D

Hey all, I'm 22, turning 23 in May.........still in full time school. Feels like it will never end. :) By next fall with my Bcomm degree in hand, i'll be ready to make some real loot, and start buying customs. pandora's box? well maybe...

I bust my ass working two part time jobs to support myself and my vices, including knives.

It just makes having the things in life like my girl and my small collection of quality production knives that much sweeeter.

take care all,

Jared
