What's The Sharpest Factory Edge You've Seen?

This kinda comes to mind after receiving my Chris Reeve Sebenza and it NOT being the sharpest I've gotten.

Believe it or not the sharpest factory edge I've personally received on a knife was my SOG Twitch II !!

Some of the best I have seen are Benchmade Ritter Grip with S30V, Spyderco Caly 3 with ZDP189, Fallkniven U2. As for Serrated edge I think Cold Steels Voyagers are as sharp as it gets. I think Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, and Cold Steel all make very fine edges. Just my thoughts. Kevin

I can't remember them all, but at the top would have to be my Benchmade Mini-Grips, Kershaw Leek/Scallion/Chive, and Buck Mayo TNT.

Okay, my Buck Mayo, on sale at Big 5 here in the bay area. I was pleasantly surprised at how well made and how sharp it was new, and it kept the edge for several weeks before needing a touch-up.

All of my Spyderco knives have been damn sharp out of the box but there are a few Kershaw knives that came very close. KEEP them sharp....that is the key

i was sent a kershaw needs work that was shaving sharp out of the box (but i couldnt resist and had to fine tune it to scarry sharp)

I've hadve Spydercos, Ka-bars, Buck knives and Kershaws. Nothing is as sharp as my various Mora or Finnish knife blades with carbon steel . All have scandi grinds. A very, very close second is my Anza knive with a very high bevel grind out of a bastard file.

Sorry guys, but most of the popular production knives I have seen named don't compare. One's opinions of what sharp truly is, is based on what one has been exposed to. This opinion will truly change after one has used a truly sharp knife for work as opposed to jus looking cool in ones pocket or on one's belt.

Spyderco's all the way. I've had about a dozen different models and all were shaving sharp out of the box.
