What's The Sharpest Factory Edge You've Seen?

What do you mean by finer, angle or finish? A sharper edge will cut longer. The hair whittling level is lost quickly, but the knife had it to begin with, not the case for the 'working edge'

angle, not finish. thinner, narrower, etc.

My Spyderco Chinook III had the sharpest factory edge I've ever seen.

Second would be my Kershaw CB Leek.

Everything I've ever gotten from Al Mar was extremely sharp out of the box.

Also the two Barkies I have(Rogue & Lil' Nessy) were crazy sharp out of the box!

all of these were about equal

Spyderco Calypso Jr. - ZDP-189/420JS laminated blade
Kershaw 1660TSW Random Leek -14C28
Buck Mayo TNT 172 - S30V

I forgot about the Casexx Sodbuster jr with CV Blade I picked up a few weeks ago. It was and is scary sharp for $29.00!!!!

It's a three way tie between my Spyderco 30V PE Military, D2 Para Military, and my Kershaw PE 13C26 Leek:eek:!

By a huge margin, my Microtech ultratech was sharper out of the box than any other knife I own (including Spyderco Caly3, Delica, Rescue, Harpy, Endura, Benchmade mini grip, 940, 710D2, 710 HS, 705, 707, Opinel, Fallkniven, Camillus Cuda Maxx, etc...) I am surprised that almost no one else mentioned Microtech. And my Microtech Curahee, even though it is a fixed blade was sharper out of the box than most of those thinner bladed folding knives.
