All of the above were hair popping sharp out of box

The Yuna Mini Hard-3 shaving sharp out of pouch, has had hard use , never sharpened and still shaving sharp.

Buck Mayo Waimea. Have cut myself with this knife more times than I care to mention. It is a Freekin Razor right from the factory....

But then, what woiuld you expect from Bob Dozier? :):):)
 
All of my Spyderco's and one of my Buck 110's were extraordinarily sharp from the box.
 
I've never bought a knife who's sharpness didn't improve considerably after a few passes on my strop but some were certainly more sharp than others:

I see a trend here . . .
 
The absolute sharpest knife OOB was a Ka-Bar Large Dozier. It would push-cut newspaper 1/2" from my hand.

Aside from that, all my Spydercos have been very sharp OOB, but they would not push-cut newspaper.

Both bit me a few times

Worst would be... The Lrg sebenza I purchased... And even worse after I sent it to them for a resharpening....
 
Shoot the RC-4, I just got came shaving sharp. After some rough use it is still a razor. Blade retention seems pretty good.
 
My Randall model 14 came so sharp that when I gently laid it on the sheath to take a picture, it cut into the leather.
 
Sharpest folder: Spyderco Delica
Sharpest fix blade: Browning Mastersmith 575 John Fitch so far the sharpest knife I have ever got to use, you would have thought MS Fitch had sharpened it himself.

I will have to see if the knife that Richard J is refinishing for me can beat it when it arrives.
 
Kullervo puukko from Kellam Knives. Also, Helle Jubileum from Ragnars Forge. These scandi blades are so darn sharp.
 
Spydercos

I've been out of the knife collecting scene for a few years but Spydercos were always amazingly sharp out of the box, easily shaving sharp. My Salt I is still hair splitting sharp.
