What's your beater knife?

My Spyderco Tenacious, PM2, and Manix 2 XL. I gave the Manix XL to my brother in law but it was a good knife. My new beater is gonna be my ZT0350CF, M390 steel.

I carry a Wenger Esquire along with my folder. My folder has changed from time to time, but the Esquire stays put. It is my tape buster, scraper, and general goo eater. That keeps my folder free from sticky mess. This is part of how I use them regularly without their looks deteriorating rapidly. This particular folder is new.

Great choice! For some reason m390 from zt is really good. I have a sabenza 21 large coming. My first CRK hopefully the steel on that is better so I can beat the hell out of it.

Benchmade 300. Its just kind of ugly, so i use it for ugly jobs. Axis is rock solid, and the whole knife is pretty thick...

For folders, a Chinese Buck knockoff given to me in the `80s gets most of the serious abuse, while a couple of little Guidesman folders do most of the routine chores, one at work and one at home. My fixed blade beater is a Schrade XT2B (USA version) with the "SCHRADE+" steel blade. I sanded off the blade coating and had a custom leather sheath made. Nothin' fancy, but it works.

Ontario for my beaters, they make a tough, inexpensive knife.

Utilitac 2 for my folder.
SP47 or SP10 for my fixed.

Generally whatever is in my pocket. If it is opening packages or braking down boxes in the kitchen it will be my Kershaw Thermite. For yard work with a fixed blade it will be my SOG Seal Team.
