what's your favorite swiss army knife?

I like my one-handed Trekker, but the Tinker is the one that always gets carried in my pocket. Small and thin enough to EDC in all clothes, every tool gets used, and the main blade is large enough to be useful for food prep. Can't do the alox scales, gotta have the toothpick and tweezers. The pin is a perfect compliment to the tweezers for buried slivers.

For camping and hiking I like to carry a Farmer or Huntsman. For EDC I usually carry a two or three layer SAK. I think I carried this one most, a Spartan.

The electrician plus or pioneer plus is the way to go, but I have a farmer and there isn't anything wrong with that.

I have a camo sak,its nice and i'n not sure what model,it has 1 large 1 small blade, screwdriver, bottle opener treezers, toothpick, and lanyard ring, what model would this be?

I use the awl on my Soldier all the time, the fit and finish on the knife is pretty spectacular for $20 as well.

wenger trailblazer. they have all these usefull tools packed into about 2 layers. Too handy. Next swiss champ. But for beauty or hard work... ya gotta love the alox.

Swisstool Spirit X is my favorite, but its a full blown multi-tool not a traditional SAK. For traditional I like the Champ, Explorer Plus, Huntsman, and Hiker. If plastic isn't your thing then the Farmer and Cadet are also great.

I guess the SAK is called the Huntsman. I thought it was a "Hunter", but, I've had this knife for a looong time now and cannot remember. It still a classic and a very handy tool.
These two are companions.

Whew; so many choices! What I am thinking about(see thread about Whitaker) is a simple SAK with: locking blade(non-serrated), corkscrew, bottle opener, and, maybe can opener; for pocket carry so relatively thin. ???? Hope I'm not stepping on thread.

i'm still thinking fieldmaster? but i don't know the farmer's mighty nice. so what's the difference in wenger? is it the same company or diffferent?
thanks for all the pictures and reply's:)

I love my Farmer, but I'm thinking of getting an Electrician Plus to replace it for EDC. I have never used the can opener on the Farmer, and I like the idea of the extra blade on the Electrician instead of the can opener.

i'm still thinking fieldmaster?

The Fieldmaster is a very nice choice. I have one tucked away in a small emergency kit, I keep in my vehicle. IMO it has all of the basics covered well. if it weren't for the fact that I really like Plus scales, the in-line Phillips, and the magnifier, I'd probably carry a Fieldmaster.
