I was looking at a knife making supply companies website E-mail me if you want the name. anyways they have lots and lots of it and you can look at the pics of what they got. It is AWESOME lol. I know when the time comes that i make another elk antler knife I will be getting from them.

It's possible. I just read that Codger has been using the same knife for decades so keep up your optimism. :D

The "Grail Knife" for me is one of these. One has lasted me since the early seventies, so these should last me the rest of my life if that first one should fail. :D

By the way, I plan to live forever and so far so good.

Codger_64, what a awesome pic. I use to use a schrade hunting knife years ago. It was great knife and I could get it so freaking sharp lol. I do not know how many bandaids I went through because of it lol.

I hope you live forever too:D

Thanks Bryan. I have a few more of those that I forgot to lay out for that picture. 1095HC with cryo treatment is old school steel, but it still works today as well as it did in 1966 and before. And the Delrin is as durable as ever. You can see some slight chalking on one or two of those handles. A bit of oil burnishing and wiping and they look like new. Discontinued now, they were made for twenty five years so there are still plenty available. I sent one to Mistwalker a while back to replace the one he used to have. And I can pick up more any time I get the urge.

LOL that's quite the stash there Codger. Looks like you have a good supply of your favorite knife. Good for you

I wish I would have stocked up on Camillus "kabar" knives back in the late 1980's when they could be acquired for $25 or less.

Right now I'm still buying and putting handles on Green River Sheep Skinners. I want to have a nice supply on hand, always, because I like the old fashioned, simple, and effective design so much. Getting ready to start my newest one tomorrow, which will be my 4th one.

The knife I'd like to have more than any other is a good traditional bowie, something made in USA, with the following features:

- medium length blade, something around 7-8" long
- coffin hilt, full scale tang, preferably stag
- 1095 or 5160, flat ground
