Hal, you have a very nice S-W 834. These older S-W knives with bone and in unused condition are not easily come by.

Nice going on the 834 thawk!! A good find in that condition!! I don't tire of looking at the Schrade Peachseed bone.

Nice snag, Hal!! Well preserved, and even color; just great!

What a find Hal! Haven't had much time to visit lately, but I had to comment on that beaut!!

Beautiful knives shown above- I really like the Duckfinger.
My latest Schrade is this Mac Tools LB5, got it for less than $20.00 in new condition on eBay. I never had an LB5 before and I really like the size of this knife.

Picked this up at a flea market today; A Schrade-Walden 906 Officer's Knife (ca. 1957-1963, as old as I)

Nice ones Wosey. Been trying to find a Silver Anniversary like that one for a couple years. The officers knife is a nice pickup Gbuskirk. Looks like it is in good shape too. Congrats on your first LB5 Spectrum, that is a nice size, the LB5.

Here is a 3 1/8" Senator pattern "Scissors Knife" which is shown on page 37, Cat. E, 1926 as pattern 8456T.

On the pile side Master tang is stamped: 36/250

This would seem to indicate the 36th knife in a run of 250, but i have never seen a Schrade Cut. Co. knife stamped like this. Also this exact pattern is shown in Cat. E, so why a special serialized run ?
It is a nice knife.

The scissors might be German. They certainly wouldn't be the only examples a German contract in Schrade's history.
Here is a recent acquisition by our friend in Texas. I expect to see nice photos of it in the near future!
Looks like a mini-2OT at 3 1/8" long!

It's actually a C2533 3/4SQ. Can anyone decipher the codes in that number????

Wow, what a cool knife and what a number. I'll take a stab at it:

C2533 3/4 SQ

C Steel caps
2 2 blades, blades oriented at same end
53 Factory pattern number
3 Bone Stag handles
3/4 Spear master replaced with clip
SQ Special knife

I think your numbers are right, Hal.

Flat surfaced bolsters were sometimes called square bolsters, back in earlier cutlery days. I wonder if SQ suggested that??

I've seen the C before. Does it mean a "cap" where there isn't usually one??
