I have a special fondness for Schrade hunters. You will really like that one. It is even more special when it is a gift.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is ready to order! See this thread for details:
https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/bladeforums-2024-traditional-knife.2003187/
Price is $300 $250 ea (shipped within CONUS). If you live outside the US, I will contact you after your order for extra shipping charges.
Order here: https://www.bladeforums.com/help/2024-traditional/ - Order as many as you like, we have plenty.
My latest flea market find is a Schrade 735(L).
Thanks for the info, Russell! Great to know!!!Dave, I think the LK initials on the knife may of been done by Linda Karst, she is one of the premier Scrimshanders around. If that is the case that is a very nice find indeed.
Well done.

I've never seen a Schrade Folding Hunter with tube packaging.
Approximately when were these tubes replaced by boxes ?

They discontinued the 225H in 1975, and the 225 in 1978. The H stands for Lanyard (H)ole. I agree it is rare to see the big tube, and even more so to see one with the paperwork. That being said, I've never seen a 225 in a box, or packaged with a sheath either.
A year or so ago I saw a 225 or a 225H for sale on ebay with straight sided sheath (but different than the ones I showed above) and BOX. It all looked authentic. I wish I had bid on it.
