Damn, wish I sent me list to Sants for one of those sweet NIB LB2s! I've got 2, one of which is used, but no boxes. Good Santa!

Geez! Got more LB2's here than I've seen all year! Nice finds guys!

Eric

IWT210,
That is a very touching thing to hear about your Son and Santa bringing the Rare LB's for Christmas. You sound like a good Dad. Someone sure was looking over your shoulder to ensure that you (Santa) got the knives he wanted for Christmas. I would sure love to see his face on Christmas morning ! ! !

Well thank you. I do what I can for the boy.

He is 9 now and has been playing guitar for about 2 and 1/2 years and makes all A's in school. Reads on the sixth grade level and is in the gifted program.

He leads his Sunday School class in prayers and probably knows scripture better than I do.

The knife bug has bitten him bad too. Several of you have helped fuel the addiction with fine digital pics. He likes the traditional slippies and lockbacks.

I took him in a local knife store the other night while the wife was shopping and he was pointing out Trappers and Canoes and the shopkeep was impressed with his knowledge of the Cases, Queens and Canal Street models.

He has a 285UH that Trailhawk sold me on the bay, a used 885uh for general use, a few Old timers and a well used LB3 that his grandma sent him. He loves to carry the LB3 but wants a new in the box one for his collection so that he can still carry the well used one and not worry about losing it.

He's never satisfied though. Wants my Case trapper now and has his eye on an Old Timer 34OT for pocket carry. And he also laid claim to that 834uh factory second I posted above.

He ain't into firearms like I am but the love of blades has bit him bad. :D

I LOVE the LB3. It's my all-time favorite Schrade knife, a perfect fit in the pocket and my usual EDC. I've had several customized, I like them so much.

Sounds like a great kid, keep feeding the habit!:D

Most of you probably know Herman Williams after an illness has returned to customizing various Schrade knives, some are cutomized throughout the knife others are done more discreetly, Like the two pictured below, polished blades, polished inside and out and of course rehandled in burnt stag.

Here's two I picked up from the recent releases.

8OT Stockman And 94OT Trapper.

those Herman Williams knives are fantastic. i actually prefer the less embellished ones. they would make a super nice gift to someone special who would actually carry it as an EDC. no way i could ever use a fully embellished one. but i recognize that not all collectors share this urge to use.

I can't believe the beauty of those Schrades. If Schrade did that on regular production run knives in their later years I would have had a drawer full of them.

Here's a nice one I got on the Bay from "magicmarker".

This "Schrade" #832 is N.Y. stamped. I have the "Sch/Wal" #832 to match it also.

Got this LTD LB7 in. Nickel silver bolsters, beautiful stag handles.

More stag.

And a little bit of staglon. She's got a few scratches and bruises, but all things considered, I'm not complaining. I've now got one of the "missing UH's". Only two more to find!

Recently got this LTD Big Daddy Barlow. I'm pretty sure those are natural bone handles. Looking close it seems I can see pores in the material, and some sort of "grain" to it. Really a nice knife.
Knives2253.jpg

Here it is next to one of it's smaller brothers with the scrimshaw handles. It always amazes me to see just how big these Big Daddy Barlows are.

Then there is this old Schrade Walden Craftsman 804 whittler with a saber grind on the main blade, although my pics don't show it well. It's got a few marks on it, but appears almost unused, and in great shape, with the exception of the missing shield. I've got an old 863 with a broken handle that may donate it's shield. My only question I'm hoping someone can answer is whether this shield would have originally been blank, or have "SCHRADE" or "CRAFTSMAN" on it.

I've never seen Craftsman on that shape of shield. I have seen the shield blank, with SCHRADE, and SCHRADE WALDEN. Yours is the only one I've seen with the Craftsman etch.

Another nice group Dave, your right about the stag on the LB7, here's one to keep your NKCA Trapper company, got it about Three weeks ago.

Dave, Jackie, Russell, and Wannacollect- NICE KNIVES!! This is better than looking at a catalog! Dave, the only use I've seen of the bone daddy barlow was for the Stuyvesant Park Commemorative in 1986:
