Eric,
I'm wondering if my knife was one of the Stuyvesant Park Commemoratives that never got the artwork. The more I look at it, the more I'm certain it's bone.

Looks like a bone-handled knife I just sold on ebay! To a guy named Dave!!

Got this old S-W ring opener, never knew they made one.

Got the Daniel Boone commemorative

This oak handled LTD Trapper. The trapper pattern is growing on me, although I don't think I would carry a 2-bladed one much. Much prefer the single-bladed 194OT.

And this DU 34OT. It's going to be a Christmas present for a friend who is active in Ducks Unlimited.

Wow Dave, you're a Schrade magnet, just leave a few scraps for the rest of us!:D:D Really nice finds, the ring turns date back to the Cut.Co. days, I don't think they continued too far into the Walden era before they were discontinued, probably 1961-62, good snag on that one:thumbup:
Regarding your question above about the bone barlow, I'm quite sure it was an overrun from the Stuyvesant Commem., I've yet to find a different use of that pattern with bone. I think they were slated to make 500 of the completed knives, but I have no idea if they even came close to that.

Eric,
I haven't actually gotten all these in just now, although I have been buying more lately. It's just that now that I've got my light box set up I'm trying to take pics of a lot of my knives and that provides a good opportunity to post them. So I'm not exactly buying everything out there. Besides, most of what I'm buying isn't in nearly the same category as the sweet older stuff guys like you and Charlie and Hal and Rusty are posting. I haven't graduated to that yet. YET!:D

My-O-My, off a couple days and you all post some absolute gems. Man, what a show, "Putting on the Ritz"!

Thanks for sharing them gems.

Got some more in. I have all kinds of newer stuff. I'm trying to start gathering up some of the older stuff.

S-W 974 Congress

I haven't been able to get the UH version of this knife, so I guess this one will have to do for the time being.
Knives2333.jpg

I'm REALLY taking a liking to the 804 whittler pattern.

Dave,

They are gems. Really like the Greenwing it's a neat one and the toothpick is a jewel.

What can I say. Love them all!

Got these in today. They all three came from the same seller who got them as a gift from the mining company he worked for in WV. I've seen this series of workman knives, but didn't realize they had different patterns for the same profession. All serial numbers match, and the knives are unused. The only flaw I see, other than patina, if that can be considered a flaw, is the single-blade trapper's shield is upside-down. Maybe it popped out at one time and they accidently glued it on wrong. Nice knives all the same.

A nice old Ulster bone handled Jack knife.

Merry Christmas!!!

Roland I thought it was an Lb7 wanna be? or is it camillus? looks a lot like my lb7's but I dont have any comparible camillus to compare it to. Any thoughts??? - Joel

Joel, I agree with Roland in that I don't believe it's a Schrade, but I have to leave what else it may be to those who know a lot more than me. But the LB7 had the horizontal flat on the front bolster where they used to stamp the serial number, where this one has the long curved handle from one end to the other. Here is an SC507 for reference.

BTW, it's still a nice looking knife, whatever you have!

Joel-
Look at the front bolsters on an LB7 & compare it to the Craftsman.
I think you will find them much different. The LB7 tends to flatten off a bit while the Camillus/Craftsman is more of a continuous curve. It is a great knife though.

Dave-
Your Ulster: :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
I like it! :D I almost shorted out my keyboard drooling!

A couple XMAS presents Santa left in my stocking:

I guess I was good enough for Delrin and Staglon, but not quite good enough for bonestag.

Dave, that Ulster jack is a dandy. Very nice indeed!

Nice ulster jack knife Dave! and that is a nice looking 294 thawk.

A few I have just received.

Ulster Old Timer Camp knife, which completes the Prince Albert tobacco tin collection.

Schrade 858OT not sure if this was an SFO or if the knive were bought blank and the etches added later.
