Got these two single-blade trappers in recently. Oddities, I'm guessing possible end-of-days knives. Both have blades with 97OT tang stamps. The yellow sawcut delrin handled one has a "SCHRADE+" blade, while the other doesn't have the "+".

Nice pair Dave! I've not seen the yellow handle 97OT single blade before, there is a saw blade trapper that's marked 97OT as well that came out at the same time, end of days knives I'm pretty sure.

Russell

Came in the mail today, a Master Mechanic MM897. I have a few of the Old Timer style, first time I've seen the Uncle Henry variety.

Nice dave, you guys are popping up with a lot of end of days knives lately:thumbup: Russell, that MM is a beaut! First staglon I've seen.

Got a few myself in the last week, first is a nice bone 293. This ones got a saber grind clip with a nice swedge, quite unlike most of the flat grind models I've seen. Nice dark dye on the bone too, reminds me of some of the 2OT bone colors, I wonder if it's from the same batch.
Second is a 4 pin LB7 with some interesting paperwork. No serialization on this one. Here's an interesting note, of the few unserialized pieces I've seen, none of the blades have a choil, the edge is ground right down to the tang. Have any of you seen serialized pieces with this feature?:

Got this cell handled SCC jack in today. Nice snap and good half-stops on both blades. Just a pretty knife.

Nice bone of the 293 Eric! love the swedge as well.

Outstanding condition on the Jack Knife Dave, great looking cell handles

This has turned into a nice thread. Lot's of nice new additions. Here's a few I've been saving for a couple weeks.

primble_293_b.jpg

JOHN PRIMBLE BELKNAP HDW 913 much like Eric's 293, but with a pen blade. Front of the clip is sabre ground, but back is flat. Looks like same batch of handle material Eric.

Uncle Henry 124UH a nice Norfolk & Western Railroad safety award. This is simply a great 4" pattern.

The middle one is the third of my SC503 Trout linerlocks. I think there is one more trout to be had. A SCHRADE+ and two in carbon.

Dave:

I love the cell handled Cut Co you have.

Figure this is it in the 1926 catalog? The Tortise Shell Celluloid? Great knife with the full spear blade. Your shield is different, but still looks like the pattern.

Fran, what th...gosh, my phone must have been dead, let me go check, I mean, after all, I know you're just looking for Wolfies...

Let me just compliment Thawk first on those fine, fine finds, that Primble has uncannily similar bone, and I agree on the pen blade. An interesting thing on the one I posted, note the secondary blade is actually like an oversized pen? The old cats. referred to this as a skinning blade, which eventually morphed into the spey.

I think Dave's beauty of a Cut. Co. is actually this model, the nail nick and shield match exactly:

I've been infected by the company I keep Eric.

On the other hand, I'm easy.....just not cheap.

Fran

Yep Eric, that looks like the correct handle shape. My reference was a little too pointed down at the butt end.

Well Fran, no matter, I likely wouldn't have been able to afford 'em anyway. They're beauties, I'll tell you that, incredible beauties! Seems like it was a very worthwile trip:thumbup::thumbup:, although I'd keep that sample out of Mikes crosshairs though, I've got to remember to tell him that I'm not responsible for you once you cross back into PA:D;) (Folks, Mike is a salesman's sample magnet with an astounding collection of knives of many NY cutleries). I can only imagine what Russell picked up:eek::D:D

Eric

Not much this trip Eric, Although I did pick up a mint example of Sears 100th Anniversary large Two Blade Trapper for $50 made by Camillus, they seem to go for twice that amount other places I've seen.

The two Fran picked up are real sweet the 9144WB especially with the ivory cell handles.

Nice pick ups also thawk! I do like the primble jack, awesome bone and fantastic swedge. a great find!

Russell

Jeez!! I go away for a few days, and Hawk, Eric and Dave are showing great knives, and Fran has come out of the Schrade closet in STYLE!!
How'm I supposed to keep up with you characters?? Huh?? Huh?? How am I??

Nice ones, all of you. Treats for my tired peepers.
