My weekly trip to the P.O, along with my serious addiction to old Schrades has yielded these three.
Holyoke Belting Co. had premiums made for its customers by Schrade Cut. Co. They used to have Harness Jacks made by them, but apparently, these pens did the trick for a while, made by Ulster Knife Co! I wonder what the timeline was??

Next is this Teardrop Jack. It was cleaned at some point, IMO (drat), but the blade is still virtually full length, and the bone is nice. I am debating keeping it. . . . .

Finally, this somewhat ordinary Jack that intrigued me because of its unusual handle material. It doesn't smell like rubber, but looks like it. It's shrinking a bit, and I suspect has caused the corrosion on everything, but not as deeply as most Celluloid I've seen. Cell will usually eat into the exposed blade spines, but this stuff has coated everything lightly, but deep into the knife.
Any Ideas??

Damn, Charlie, I don't know how I'm supposed to become a serious collector with you grabbing all the good ones! Those are all nice!

Here's a little 3OT lockback with black sawcut delrin handles instead of the usual brown.

And my first Herman Williams. After receiving this one, I seriously doubt it will be my last.:D

I really like that Herman Williams signature stag! I've heard he refuses to discuss how he does it, but do it he does!!;)
And Dave, I see you've learned something from me!! How to leave a perfect fingerprint:D:D!
Nice knives:thumbup:!

Damn it! I never even noticed that fingerprint! Promise not to use it?!

Great catch on that 3rd Gen Dave. Last time he did one like that it went over $150.00.

Although you say it's been cleaned Charlie, I do like the look of that Jack! real nice looking bone.

Exceptional pick up on the H.W. Dave, well done. Sweet addition that's for sure.

Re: The Herman Williams knives. until approximately 6-12 months ago, these knives often sold for less than $75. since then the prices are almost always over $100, and over $150 for some of them.
personally i am very pleased to see that Mr. Williams, and his excellent custom work, both past and present, is now being recognized and better rewarded.
YEAAAAH Herman !

I got a couple more.

A Grand Dad's Old Timer stockman in trade for a knife repair.

nice pieces dale , love those 4 inchers!! surprised to see a serial # larger than 10,000?
is the barlow bone?-------------brady

No, the Barlow is Delrin.
I bought it so I can put bone on the handle & do some file work on the springs.

I suppose it will have to wait until my hand heals up from surgery now. :(

Apparently you came out of surgery OK, Dale. Good news there! Any estimate on how long your recovery will take?

Thanks Dave, I appreciate your concern.
It said the surgery went great, and that I may be in a cast for a month or more. They said the recovery would be slow with lots of hand therapy.

By the way Dave, have you received a package in the mail yet?

Take care,
Dale

Dale,
Just got it from the post office about 20 minutes ago, and DAMN!!! Talk about impressed!!! You do some BEAUTIFUL work! Pics will be posted later tonight.
