Here are some old ones, one a bit of a nostalgic relic.
Some of the indicators that they are old, is the jigging style, the peened pins, and the arched Schrade (over) Cut Co stamp. Before WW I, IMO.
The Buffalo Cut jack is getting used up, but it is a tribute to its parent company (Schrade in Case you hadn't noticed
!), that the springs are still crisp and snappy after all these years of use! And the Schrade HJ operates like new as well!
I grew up in Buffalo NY, from birth in 1944, and still have family there. Buffalo Wholesale Hardware was established in 1903, (same as Schrade!), but I don't know when they folded.
