Thank you Michael. I am now addicted to the 154s thanks to you.

I'm not entirely sure yet but I just may like the 154 more than the 152. Only time and a lot of use will tell.

just won these two and didn't expect to do it.
one was a Lake and Walker knife not sure of the type. any info as this is the first time i have gotten one of these. i think they were started in the '90's?
the second one i acquired was a Hunting Heritage Collection knife. when was it produced? like the look of it and i am really fond of fixed blades. low bid them and still won go figure. as we always say the value is just what one is willing to part with and changes from day to day.

Seems the market for Schrades has been soft lately. I just bought these two 152UH for the price the one lightly used one usually brings. And I was the only bidder.

So the non-matching box, the used sheath and the etched knife I was after were essentially free. Go figure. Larry Vickery will have to help date your NAHC knife. And Larry303 is our eggs-spurt on the L&W knives.

thank you for providing that. i keep forgetting about the search feature. although when i try to use it i am rarely successful.

Hi delmas2nd,
Your "Schrade Lake & Walker knife" was made from 2001 to 2004. The first 1000 numbred knives had the BG42 blade; and were made and sold in 2000-2001.

Hey Guys, A friend in my knife club gave me this out of his collection. He used to work in a hardware store in Tacoma, Wash. Got this and dome more pedestrian pieces while working there. Can't believe my luck. Have a date of manufacture, but not sure if there are others in the set. Not much info on ebay.[

Nice find rtmind, I found this knife about 4 years ago; I know nothing about it, only that it has the same shield on the bone handle - like your knife... Ken.

My memory on these knives is a bit fuzzy, but I believe they were issued in connection with the Walt Garrison/U.S. Tobacco sponsorship of pro rodeo sports. I'll dig around and see what I can find. LRV may well beat me to it though, but I am pretty certain we have some archived info on these. You should be able to glean some pertainent info from all of those papers.

Meanwhile here is the WIKI on Ty himself, an amazing athelete and competetor, well worthy of a series of commemorative knives.

I just got this little 708. These are the pics from the auction site. Will I need to wait until I get it in my hands to know whether it's bone or delrin or is there a way to tell from the pics?

Any clue when she was made?

The 708 was made from 1952 t0 1979, RRP was $8.95 in 1979.
My 708 has bone handles. It would be nice to see some better photos, when you get it in your hands... Ken

Thanks. The minute I get it, I'll be taking pics. I hope to be home soon.

I found this 708 in a junk box at an antique store and gave less than $1 for it.
Looked unsharpened but was missing shield. I just filled in the shield with some
epoxy I colored. Nice carry knife.
