Ulster 114 badged as a Craftsman 9549

Craftsman%25209549%2520-%2520Ulster%2520114.JPG

Odd that you show this knife just now. Two weeks ago I replaced my Imperial Mil-k818 knife in my canoeing drybox with this Ulster Craftsman camp utility. The can opener works nicely by the way. And estheticly it beats the armored Mil-k hands down.

Aesthetically, almost any scout knife beats the MIL-K hands down.

Ed, 3000 of the Prudhomme knife were ordered in 4/94. Dont know who the artist was Only note I have is that the artwork for the hot stamp was from Imperial Schrade.

koldgold/Ken I got back into collecting when a started working with edbeau. My first two were Schrade SC505's. So then the hunt for a sheath was on. One day I saw one of these rare sheaths & I knew right then that I must have it. I ended up finding this sheath; the holy grail, buy now for $14.99 on the bay. Little did I now it went with the C641; part of the beautiful 3rd gen series. I have seen may of them but they keep going out of my reach. One day I will end up with at least one of these 3rd gen knives. One Day! I keep on the look out for more of these sheaths. However, my neighbor being a leather working was able to make one just like it.

Schrade Replica Sheath made by my neighbor

Here are there first two knives that got me back into collecting.
Just got this off of the bay.

Nice knives, I like collecting and collectors.
You never know what is around the corner. KG.

I have been doing well lately on knife purchases. I'm excited to add another Schrade Walden 127 to my collection. The oldest date of manufacture I can find on these is 1973, the same year that the Schrade Walden name was being phased out. I like these older ones best because they have thicker slabs that fill the hand better than the newer ones. IMO. If this one cleans and polishes up as good as my other one, it will be one of my favorites. It's still in the mail.

Just bought a 153uh with a Navaho type handle. New here need help with artist. Looks like Yazzie or Yellowhorse. The guy I bought it from said he used to have a little store where it never sold. He said he thought they got it from someone called Winterhawk or something like that. I'll try and get some pics up but you will have to be patient, I'm really illiterate.

I have only ever had 1 Schrade knife. It's a LB 7 lockback. I have had it since the 70's. It's been a good knife.

Thanks Thawk, I'll work on that 2day. Hoping to get something up this afternoon. Thanks again, I remembered seeing that tinypic thing somewhere but couldn't remember what it was. After Mrs. Claus gets up and has a couple of cups of coffee I'll see if I can get her to help me with that.

With tinypic, you do not need to sign up. Just upload, then copy (use a right click) the link with the IMG tags, and paste (again with a right click) it into the thread.
