What's your newest Buck knife

112 anniversary FG

Damn you. I'm really trying not to buy too many more knives until we move...

...But this picture is just too much.

Excuse me, I need to go order a 112 Anniversary FG, brb.

Yeah, I just picked up a 112 FG shown above. For $10 more I could have gotten the anniversary edition. Not sure what I was thinking.... but still pleased with it.

Also, beautiful photography!

Both the 105 and 112 drop point arrived yesterday:

yeah you or we do....119s with 5160 steel. wish theyd put it in the custom shop in a non fuller.......
I wish they would exclude the fuller from all fixed blade knives...especially the 119/120. Doesn't serve much of a purpose on small blades except to shave a few grams off the weight of the knife. Has to cost Buck some money to have the fuller milled into each side of the blade (one less step in the process). Maybe the new chief will see the savings and start to exclude the fuller. :p

I don’t know about any other guys but I’m really liking the 110 and 112 sport series. I think Buck did a smash hit right out of the park with these knives. Take apart construction, aluminum frame, pocket clip, thumb stud, s30v blade and micarta inserts.

They carry like nothing is there and they are still plenty heavy duty. All weather materials in the classic design so what’s not to like?

What you guys think?

I couldn’t get pass the thumb stud personally. I was going to grind it off and install my own, but I decided not to bother. I didn’t think I would like the pocket clip, but it was very well done. I like it waaay more than the clip on the 2021 Legacy take apart.

It took me awhile to realize it, but what I really want is just a brass 110 or 112 with removable scales and a premium steel. With a knife like the 110/112, I don’t need to take the entire thing apart. I just want to be able to swap on my own scales.
