What's your newest Buck knife

Doc I plan to give 5 out for Christmas presents to my grandsons and Nephews when Christmas comes this year. My Brother David wants what's left to make Customs and simply because he is absolutely crazy about 110's..Especially at a bargain price lolol! In case anyone else in Central Florida is looking for them there's 9 at the Inverness Florida Walmart. If I still had the Band (That was over in May of last year) I would gift each Player one. David asked me to look since none at all were to be found down below Tampa. I collect and use 112's for the most part but bought a Magancut 110 ($150.00 plus with shipping!!) To give the 110 a real shot as my EDC. I will probably keep one. I think I got 14?
Edit: They were locked in a case and not really visible but I asked a young guy about 18 if they had any. He knew exactly what I wanted and grabbed a key. I was lucky..
Edit: I got a even dozen..

If I had not asked any physically went in the store I doubt I would have been able to buy them at the clearance price. If you see any instock online if it's not a big deal to stop ring one up to see if you get the 'clearance' price. I bet Walmart's web site is NOT going to show the lowest price..

I remember when the 110 Christmas tins came out around 2010? There was a absolute frenzy to find them at the lowest clearance price. First below $20.00 and as Blade Forum members literally went from store to store looking AND buying some guys found them below $15.00..And that's when the real frenzy started! It was almost a contest to see who could find them at the absolute lowest price. I know a few were bought at only $10.00 and if I remember correctly the lowest price was $8.99.. Many Custom makers bought them to make Customs and Ebay was full of listings from folks who bought a lot of them just to flip. A year or two later there was a 112 tin but very very few sold at a clearance price. I looked for them but never found even one. I asked the nice sales kid if his manager would discount the 110's below $21.00 because a few had the plastic packaging slightly crumpled but no luck. David seems to think the $21.00 was the cost to Walmart for the 5 train loads they probably ordered. Again I think you have to physically go in the store after you check to see if they are in stock to get the clearance price.

You know you've got too many knives when you forget what you've got.

Case in point... my latest package from DOGPOUND77 DOGPOUND77 arrived. Great knives! But I recognized the 500 and decided to look through my boxes. Found the original that I purchased some months ago. I WAS a bit irked with myself until I noticed something different with the newest one (the one on the right). Had to take lots test pics to actually show the difference in a photo.

I'm thinking she's definitely a keeper.

edit: ignore the incorrect COA

Those are nice!

Ugggh. None of the Walmarts anywhere near me show the anniversary set in stock.

Online price is still good. But not $21 good.
Ditto. Nothing near me. I still have a couple of the $35 110's from Walmart a couple years back, so this doesn't cross the threshold of making rash decisions with my wallet.

My newest are a couple of smalls. I wasn't sure about the 55's carbon fiber, but it looks fantastic in person.

My brother also has that carbon 55. It definitely is a gem of a blade

I have to say, I think that for a slightly cheaper price my Buck 841 Sprint Pro with Carbon Fiber handles and S45VN flipper blade is more comfortable in the hand and deploys just as fast as this Automatic, with better handle material, blade shape and steel.

The 841 flipping action is superb, while the bolster on the auto needs to be rotated along the pivot by a good amount before the blade deploys. if you have arthritis at the base of your thumb, it's not as nice as flipping the 841 with its snappy detent. And, the 841 blade just drops shut for one-handed operation.

This is kind of a cool gadget/mechanism, with really good looks, so I'll probably keep it for showing off. But I don't think I will be carrying it much. It might become my desk knife until I get a chance to sharpen my Hinderer XM-18 Harpoon Spanto blade.
