What's your newest Buck knife

Just delivered, this morning.

Upside down stamp, micarta scales, and brass spacer. If I'm reading right, that would make this in the first production run?

If it has a brass spacer on the end by the lock it's a V-1V-1..If stainless a V-1V-2...
Definitely brass.

Does that edge look factory? Seems like hollow grind, transitioning to saber before the secondary bevel.

Not sure if that's older grind or later (bad) sharpening. Doesn't seem to be much edge loss, if the latter.

It looks to me like it might have been introduced to a grinder and then smoothed up. I say this 'cause when I enlarge your photo I can see grind marks near the ricasso.
Here's a photo of my 112 V1, V1...

Slick!

Yeah, looks like someone did a bit of a hack job on this blade. But nothing too bad.

Any advise on cleaning up the micarta? I have it a quick scrub with a 3M pad, but I feel like it could be cleaned up more to reveal the pattern.

The contouring of the grip, overall, is crazy compared to be other 112's. I'm super stoked over this.

Sorry, I have no personal experience working micarta. I have used Flitz on Phenolic, which is the black material Buck uses on their 100 series. If I needed to polish micarta I would try that. Maybe call Buck, do a google search, or wait and see if someone knowledgeable responds.

The design of the Paradigm Shift is really interesting and I wanted something with a safety on it.
After a little bit the opening mechanism becomes second nature and a there is a wickedly sharp blade on it.
A solid feeling knife so next week I'll order a black one as well.

Ooh. The black handled version of this has been on my list for quite some time. Just haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Congrats on a very nice grab!
