Which Folder Would You Buy For $300

Or I'd buy the Wilson tactical RRX in black with the cocobolo inlay if I had to pick just one, again, sexy, and I love Elmax; but they're all flippers.

Whitty , the BM Vicar looks awesome. And that ZT 0620 is gorgeous. What does it have for steel ? I'm staying away from the BM 761 for now. I like the look of it but I've come across too much negative press about it. Seems too "hit or miss" right now.

.

The 620s come in Elmax, the 620CF comes in M390 or CTS-204P, and the 630 comes in S35VN. The Vicar comes in S30V. All very nice, just depends on what you want and what appeals to you the most? I always tell true knife knut customers, pick their top favorite. If they don't they will always wish they had, and will eventually buy it anyway. Good luck in your search!

Or.... Save up for another month or so and buy yourself your first sebenza...

I'm not terribly interested in the Sebenza. Everyone says it's a great knife but it doesn't do it for me.

And thanks to everyone for your suggestions. And to RamZar for that awesome knife comparison pic. I moved my deadline up to tomorrow night. I'm still undecided. But as of right now I like the Slysz Bowie , ZT 0620 CF , BM 710 and Spyderco K2. I'll be pondering this decision all day at work today I'm sure.

RamZar , what kind of polishing cloth did you use on that 710 M390 ? It looks awesome. And you mentioned they had problems with the tip of the blade sticking out of the handle when in the closed position. Is that still an issue ? Would I have to worry about that if I were to buy one tomorrow ?

It's a very soft polishing cloth. I don't remember where I got it. I have several types of polishing cloth.

If you buy direct from KW you'll be getting the ones where the blade tip is fixed.

I picked up the little green sng here on the exchange for a little less than $300. I think it's a good deal and I carry the knife quite a bit.

Benchmade 710 is close to 4" blade in D2 and it's a time tested knife for much less than $300

If you want a jewelry knife, go ahead. If you want to spend a third of your budget on a fancy scale that's fine too.

The best knife out there for $300 is a Grayman Dua. Even used.

Ditto on the Dua. The Dua is truly under appreciated. Rock solid and plenty of belly in a small package.

It's been mentioned several times but the Spydie Slysz is crazy nice for about $250 and VERY comparable to any of the $400-$500 CRK's. Ask me how I know this..

Personally not a huge fan of the small Sebenza's ergonomics, if you want a smaller folder, hard to beat the TiLock from CRK.

Otherwise I would similarly recommend the Slysz Bowie or even the Techno.

For "jewelry" knives I'd suggest Mcusta. Their limited editions are really quite beautiful.
