Which knife company has the best value in your opinion?

Buck probably provides the most value overall if you choose carefully, then Kershaw (again choose carefully), then Spyderco, though you need not be as choosy.

Edit: Should have included Victorinox, too.

Depends on what you are looking for. As a general rule I would have to go with Victorinox, great fit and finish at amazing prices. I have yet to buy one that was not perfect out of the box.
I prefer to look at models as best value. In this category I would list the Buck Vantage as #1, amazing price for what you are getting. Other models I would pick would be Kershaw Skyline and Case Sodbuster.

Kershaw by a long shot.

Working with Ti, CPM, S110V, Composite blades, Elmax/Vanax/Bohler steels, 3-D machined G-10, CF, Ball-bearing systems, overwhelming majority of EVERYTHING made in Tualitin, Oregon, and a no-BS warranty and above-and-beyond crew operating their magic.
:thumbup:No doubt...kershaw. i think buck offers some very high value blades as well like the vantage series.

Geez, there are a lot of variables. If we are strictly talking "value" then I would not include a Sebbie. For the same dough a person could buy at least 3 extremely usable and high quality knives and 4-5 that would certainly get the job done. Doesn't take a thing away from the Sebbie though and they are a good choice for the million "If I could only have one threads"

I'm a Spyderco nut but in all honesty how can one leave out Buck, Kershaw & Gerber when talking value? After all you could fill a shoebox with a couple hundred dollars!

Not strictly on topic but I actually have considering picking one up once or twice does the sebenza have any blade play at ALL? even my griptilian can be wiggled side to side and how good is the framelock? I won't be abusing it but Ive seen far too many liner locks fail just by dropping them or stabbing them into heavy cardboard.

it shouldn't have any at all. axis locks have to have a bit of horizontal blade play, I think, for the lock to function correctly. Chris Reeve invented the frame lock, his are as good as they come.

Becker and ESEE i think offer the best bang for the buck knives in the business right now, everything you need and nothing that you don not.

Folders are a luxury i think, They are more convenient and therefore your paying more for that convenience. I cant really think of a good folding knife that i think offers exceptional value, espeacially over a knife like the becker necker or the izula.

Scrap Yard- you bag those blades at facory release prices and dang- good for a lifetime.

ESEE- Gotta love them- they bring it!

I'd have to say either Kershaw or Ka-Bar (including the BK&T line). They just pump out knives that rival the performance of $200+ knives, and they sell them for rock-bottom prices. They truly are the best values, in my opinion. If you had asked a few years ago, I would have added Gerber to that list, but once you ship everything to China, it seems as though the ship carrying the quality just can't stay above water...
