Wulf. That's my last name. Derrick is my first name. Some folks call me Dick.
I'm a part-time hobbyist of a knifemaker. Pretty new at it but I seem to be coming along. I'm an apprentice in the ABS, but I don't sell knives. I don't intend to sell anything until my work reaches a level that I am proud of. Who knows, I might just wait until I earn my JS stamp in a few years.
I live in Essex, Vermont, and work in Burlington at an office job.
In the meantime, I'd like to add that I probably feel like I "know" most of you much better than you know me. I read this forum quite frequently, but rarely do I post here because, frankly, I simply don't have the knowledge and experience that most of you good folks do, and I probably have little to add.
So now that you've got me yapping here, let me take the opportunity to thank you all for the abundance of information you've been so generous with in this forum. I have stacks of printed out text from discussions that occurred right here, and all your tips and technical expertise have been invaluable to me.
I hope to see many of you at the Blade Show.
Oh, here's a picture of me in my workshop. That's a 300# Fisher I'm bangin' on, and a NC Whisper Lo-Boy forge in the background.
