Camillus...

Kabar with nice stag covers...

An old Schrade that skinned a jillion coons and made steers out of a whole lot of bull calves...

Schrade Walden...

An old Kabar that has seen some use and sacrificed a sheepsfoot in a worthy cause...

Who doesn't carry a stockman... at least once in a while? Three favorites soon to be joined by one from "Abilene" PA.

Case 6375, 6392, and Northfield 661312

I love the stockman pattern and blade-set, particularly in the "medium" size (3.25" to 3.5", say), but haven't found one yet that didn't feel a bit awkward in my coin pocket. They're all a smidgen too thick, a smidgen too square. Or maybe I'm just a smidgen too fussy :D

I do carry this one a fair bit, but then, it's peanut-sized:

MMM, superb photo! I have your knife's twin near me as I type. It is usually my daily carry (with a Buck 307 as the chief competitor). The Old Timer 8OT is a great knife, with lots of character, especially those Schrade Walden matchstriker years.

Thanks Liberando. They are indeed something special and Schrade's 1095 steel is hard to beat. I've also been known to a carry a Buck 307 for those big jobs :)

Got my first Case Stockman on order right now. Cheapo yellow delrin one...but my first and I'm excited!

Mark ... that is a great looking knife! Queen steel is a bit of a mystery for me ... D2? 1095? Stainless? Hard to tell the length in the pictures ... medium (<4") or large (>4")?

Hey Scott, that one is a Queen Joe Pardue Cattle King. It is 4.25" and made with D2. :)

It's not my favorite pattern, but I do enjoy a nice stockman.. some very nice stuff posted in this thread!

My favorite EDC style is a Stockman (3-3/8" up to 4"), here are a few from my EDC rotation (mediums first); my favorites are the Buck 303 and the Case 6318SS. I carry a big stockman when I hunt; Buck 307.
