My wallet is a small escape and evasion kit... the gold is emergency currency that is easily hidden in my wallet.

Just a thought, wouldn't you be better off carrying some cash? After all, in an emergency type situation, if you needed money, especially if you needed it fast, and if all you had was gold, you'd have to find a place that buys gold in order to convert it into cash. That is of course, if you could find a place that buys gold, and if they're open.

Everyone accepts cash, and there's no need for any middle man. And a few bills are easy to carry around folded up in ones wallet, or rolled up in a stash tube, etc..

Personally though, although I carry emergency cash, I don't carry it in my wallet. Nor do I carry anything of value in my wallet. The way I see it, if someone confronts me with a weapon and demands my wallet they can have it, and I won't lose anything of value.

The emergency I'm ready for ... cash won't be accepted.

That is absolutely gorgeous, Dan! Great pic, too.

I've got something a little bigger today: My Aurora LT came in today... and I love it:

Ya it definitely looks grippy. I thought the high points would dig in to your skin when applying pressure. Glad it works for you it's a beauty

Got this pocket fixed blade from DCL knives in today. I think I've found a replacement for my pocket folder. Can't wait to see how the knife performs tomorrow on our biggest delivery day of the week.

I carry 2 wallets - one has all my identification, credit cards, debit cards and MOST of my cash. The second wallet has some junk business cards for bulk, 10 bucks in $1s, and a couple of those "fake credit cards" you get in the mail when the banks are trying to get you to take their "offer". The kind that say "Your Name Here", or "John Q. Public". One gets used for normal transactions, the other, well, that's for me to give to the person with the gun. He's happy that he got something and I'm happy to have not lost anything of value. Now, if the numb-nutz robs me with a knife and decides to get frisky, that's where my 30" of 1.5" OD ash walking stick and "ole-man-fu" will get "real-time" exercise.
