Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Packing an old friend this week-end, my Dozier stag Companion. This knife has seen some miles and despite others to choose from it remains a favorite.

I really recommend the pattern if you can find 'em:

Nice knife. I have a CVA mountain man knife I built from a kit when I was a kid. It looks exactly like your knife. Not as pretty as that specimen of course.

^^^ Thanks, Bob! My great uncle made this one (he made knives under the IRT Brand back in the late 60's and early 70's). I had it out for kitchen duty this morning and just had to bring it along with me today. I chose the orange bone #73 to come along because of the same jig pattern on the handle scales.

Here's another quick look at the pair:

^^^^ Very nice looking pacitcal fixie.

I'm usually a more traditional looking fixed blade kind of guy but I went to a local knife store to grab a Tek-Lok and walked away with this very budget friendly Realsteel Knives Necker in D2 and a Kydex sheath. Going to be a great back up hunting blade at 2 oz. :D
