Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

This is very nice. Can you tell us some more about it 'size wise'?

Thank you for sharing.

The only remarks I've gotten when carrying my fixed blade/s are compliment 's usually

I get knife compliments too.

It is no different than when I used to get handgun compliments when I used to own and carry handguns on a regular basis.

Most ordinary people compliment people on knives and guns. They may be curious on the brand name or some other thing.

Most people don't get upset unless they have some irrational knife or gun fear, where people are not 'allowed' to carry some knife or if are into some mass PC thinking where they think that any person who carries such a thing as a knife are a criminal or in some gang.

Last pics of 2015... it's been a pretty good year (blade-wise, that is!).

Mini NorthStar:

Very nice. I often carry a Northstar EDC. I really like the size & shape, and BRKT does a great job with 3V. I'm working on getting a Dozier-style horizontal kydex sheath for it.

Wish it would be so. Still, sometimes it is strange. Seems to me that where I live people would freak out seeing a "tactical" blade, but ordinary puukko would not raise an eyebrow. It depends of course on the circumstances. The law of the land is that you cant have a knife on your person without a really good reason.

Anyway, today I carried a wic alox, the Pioneer. Went to forest with my wife and my son's and his wifes dog. This little furry creature has the ability to raise peoples spirits. Used the knife too with the food we had. There is a light snow on the ground, not too cold. This little spaniel was running in circles around us, smiling like they do, enjoying life. Everything was well and there was love between all of us, the people and the dog. Life is good.

Talking about fixed blades, I still carry usually either the small Ka-Bar TDI or Bastinelli Kalinou karambit. The TDI is actually a usefull edc - knife and fit for pocket carry.

Thanks, my friend. It really is a great little knife. This one was refurbished this past summer, and the guys at BRKT did a great job! You might also be interested in the new Fox River Featherweight - it's the same size and sheath as the Mini NorthStar, and it just came out (in Elmax steel). The one pictured below was acquired directly from Bark River just up north in Escanaba, MI. Very nice, and only 3.0 ounces (4.2 oz. with the sheath) - that's outstanding!

I have got to show this one to my husband.
Thank you for sharing! You always put up great pictures.

Thanks you again for the kind compliments, Cate. It's my pleasure putting up the pics. Well, except days like today sometimes when it's barely 20 deg. and 20mph winds make it feel closer to 0 deg - a bit chilly! - but I still have to get out into the woods at least for a few minutes every day.

Here's the first pic of 2016... my new Fox River Featherweight:

I've been looking at pix & specs on the Featherweight since it came out. It is interesting to me. I have a mini-FR in S35V that I like for outdoor carry and use, but I find the blade a bit thick for normal EDC chores around the warehouse and home. The Featherweight might just be the ticket there. I like the overall shape and ergos of the Fox River series. Once I sell off a few non-users, that might be my next buy in 2016.

BTW... I have an Essential in stag that's almost an exact match for the handle on your mini-NS. BRKT's stag handles are exceptional.

Holiday weekend carry - brand new Dozier K-12 Small Game Skinner by way of Pup at Vintage Knives. D2, brass hardware and brown C-Tek with white liners. This one is made from the heavier stock Bob usually uses for his bigger knives which makes for a really stout little blade.

The blade's thickness tapers from heel to toe on the Featherweight - that makes for a thin blade and good slicer. And it's so light, it's a joy to have on my belt - I actually forget that it's there. Here's another look from today (hopefully the sun comes out one of these days so I can get some better pics of this beauty):

BTW, I'd love to see that Essential!

My main two EDC fixed blades. The Bravo EDC is my work knife with a Leatherman Wave. I'm a Security Service Technician by trade. So my knives get used on a daily basis. I am constantly in and out of Fortune 500 company office buildings around Houston. I've never gotten so much as a crossed look on any of my Customers sites.

The Gunny Hunter is my weekend carry that I offset with a Leatherman Juice S2. Though sometimes I'll carry my LT Wright Patriot when the mood strikes me.

I have often found that if you act like the tool belongs on your belt, most people assume it is as well. Don't act like a dumbass and people tend to not treat you like one. At least that's been my experience.

Three of my favorite fixed blades...

2015 Has been the fixed blade revelation year for me. It's shown me how many advantages over EDCing a folder it has in many aspects of daily life...
