Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

Thanks, bud - I love it! The handle feels slick only if your hand is dry and cool. But, like canvas micarta, once your hand warms up, or gets a bit sweaty, the handle becomes more grippy/tacky.

Here's another shot of her, freshly oiled and back in the woods:

This is a very pretty knife!

^^^ Thank you, Cate - I'm really liking it!

And thank you, too, Whetstone39!

Here's another quick look:

Back out in the woods late afternoon with Bravo-1 (the colder it gets, the more often I have a Bravo-1 with me):

I've yet to use the firesteel, as you can see...

Not to my knowledge. I have seen a few of them cord wrapped, but that is about it. I have a really nice peace of bocote in the garage I want to attempt a set with. I just need to find the time to do it :(

Recently got this Böker pry mini, and made leather sheath around the kydex sheath to carry it more comfortably.
Too small and chubby for woods (hammer grip) but makes excellent cutting at the urban environment!

My daily carry reflects my obsession with knives:

Primary(s): Spyderco Bradley Bowie PSF27 steel
Spyderco South Fork S90V

Secondary: Benchmade Adamas fixed
Cold Steel Safe Maker
Benchmade Osbourne fixed
And a folder in every pocket, which one depends on what will fit. Too many to list.

When leaving the farm for going out into "the real world", 99% of the time I have a pair of Kabar 125x "shorties" at 3 and 6, with a BK11 in my LHP.

Sometimes, just because, I'll replace one or both of the shorties with BK tweeners or Kabar MK1s.

Even in "liberal" Austin, I have never been hassled about them. The only comment LEOs have made were along the line of "What are they?" or "Why 2?" or both questions. They get the answer of "If I loose one, I still have one." along with the story about my grandfather and the combine in 1965.

Now that we have pre-emption in Texas, I may put San Antonio and Corpus Christi back on my visitation list. SA's locking folder ban and CC's fixed blade ban had me avoiding those cities for the last several years.

If a city or business has a "policy" against me carrying a legal knife into their establishment, I simply vote with my wallet and don't spend any money there. And because I am the south end of a north bound mule, I write letters to them citing what I bought and where I did it and how much I spent elsewhere because of their policy.

And maybe because it's my family uses the Scott & White Hospital system, I have never been hassled by anyone at any of their facilities. Between my own appointments and my mother's, I am in 1 or more of their facilities at least 1x / month, usually more. (My mother had a blood vessel leak blood inside one of her eyes and she has been getting injections into it 1x / month for 2 years plus other eye exams.)

Some great looking stuff, here!

Wish LA were more fixed blade friendly, but I suppose our knife laws aren't nearly as bad as our gun laws.
