Who else EDCs a fixedblade?

I used to carry a combo of izula and leatherman pulse, with the izula sheath lashed to the beltloop of the leatherman sheath so it sat behind the multi. worked really well as a combo unit as the pulse has no one-handed blades, and I didn't own any small one-handed folders at the time. I generally don't EDC a fixed anymore, but having found the joy that is the small fixedblade, I do carry one while fishing. from a legal standpoint I have to be a bit cautious when it comes to my EDC choices.

Thanks, bud - I love it! The handle feels slick only if your hand is dry and cool. But, like canvas micarta, once your hand warms up, or gets a bit sweaty, the handle becomes more grippy/tacky.

Belated thanks for the reply!

I just picked up a Fiddleback Forge Esquire and a Jou'Fuu pocket sheath. This has been my EDC since I got it on Thursday.

I have recently decided to quit carrying folders. I have been carrying a Suarez Gang Unit and a ESEE 3. I just prefer the simplicity of a fixed blade and I really prefer carbon steel.

+1 on the carbon steel thing. I know I can't find a carbon bladed single hand opening folder with a pocket clip. Plus the fixed blade is always locked open

I carry my Umnumzaan to work and if going out at night carry My large Pogn by Bawidmann

Spyderco Gayle Bradley is carbon steel. And a great folder as well!

I've never used a Gayle Bradley folder and I'm sure it's excellent but I consider it a bit big for edc. Never held one so just assuming. Also as good as m4 is I hardly call it carbon steel. Sure it's steel and has carbon but so does all other steels. It's too heavily alloyed to be carbon steel. It's just not stainless

I like this knife a lot too!

You and other people have some really good looking FB knives on this thread.
Thank you.
Cate

Thank you, Cate! The full-sized handle feels nice in the hand, too.

Here's today's BRKT - Cocobolo Bravo-1:

This one has an upgraded bushcraft-style sheath - I think they call it a "dress sheath."
