Wow, what an interesting thread! I would never have guessed that there are people out there who hate pocket clips & take them off their knives. Personally, I love them & consider them to be one of, if not THE the most important & innovative creations in the history of knives. I would guess that there are millions of people who only carry knives because of the invention of the pocket clip. The idea simply put more knives in more hands (& pockets)than any other innovation I can think of. There are many beautiful and useful clip-less folders out there, I know. I own a few traditional folders & love them, but I never carry them. I just hate my knife flopping around loose in my pocket, it drives me a crazy. I also don't find it hurts the ergos of very many knives at all, or the aesthetics (except for some of the hideous Kershaw designs, like the JYD mentioned above). When I was a kid, I carried clipless foders, but that was before Mr. Glesser's revolutionary "Clip-it" came along. So, I guess you could say I'm a huge fan. For me, that little clip changed everyhting.
