Who plans on BUYING the BF survival knife?

Im interested. I would like to see what pattern is decided on. I like the utility/flat grind look. I really like the Bark River Bravo-1 style. Also curious on the sheath, again I like the Bravo-1 sheath as well, something kydex. Just my $0.02
If its under $150 I would take one.

Good news. Ken with Iron Wolf Forge PM'ed me today and has two designs almost ready. I will start a thread with the pictures when I get them.

Woohoo! I'm not in any particular hurry for my BF W&S Forum knife, but I can't help get excited about any word of progress! Thanks tarmix101 and Ken!

Here is what I got from Ken today on price. Prices seem very reasonable to me.

$70 for blade alone $140 for wood handle and sheath(either pins, pins with thong hole, or loveless bolts and a thong hole) the handles are drilled for pins, loveless bolts and a hole for a thong tube. price includes shipping within the US, Canada and overseas may cost a bit more.

Prices are for either of these styles, but then we'll need to add in the $ for two more(one for Spark, and one for auction) and approximately $60 for a stamp reading BF W&S 07 I'll number them with an engraver. Overall though, for 30 orders, that comes in at about $11 per person.

I have the handles on, I used some curly maple I had on hand, however, I didn't have any tubing, so I placed an extra pin where it would have gone. I will get my wife to take pics as soon as shee gets home today

Holy survival batman! sweet deal! I'm in for blade alone. Tell me how and when. great job to all of you...

I want one of the naked scandi blades. I'd love for that plunge line to come down farther, but I'm in for one regardless.

Cool, it looks as if Ken has beat me to the punch. I like what I see and the price is great. I can't compete with that, I was going to come in at $10.00 higher. The knife I was going to submit is one I am making for tknife. I Should have it completed by this weekend. If you guys are still interested I'll post a pic of it, but it looks to me Ken is going to get the nod. I'll be in for a blade as well.

Can we get a picture of both styles of Ken's knives finished and unfinished please?

Also - I would like to see what NWA has to offer. Real class - both guys.

I agree. I like the knives offered, especially the one on the left, very much but would also like to see the NWA design. I really liked that NWA design.

When I saw Nicks knives, I knew he was the one to make "my" idea of a perfect field knife (it's really sort of a cross between a couple of his existing knives) . I also figured that something different would become the forum knife. That's why I knew I had to get in a custom order form Nick :D But I am still loving the knives posted by Ken, and will be getting one of those as well.

NWA, I wasn't looking to try to beat anyone, I just wanted to get them done before I had to leave for the weekend (two piping jobs roughtly two days each)

Truth is, I only figured I could offer the $140, as I will probably be working in batches, or it would be $10 higher. This way I do not have to go back and forth from one area of my shop to the other for each individual blade.

I am still looking forward to seeing your knife

Ken

I know Ken, what I typed, didn't come out right. I wasn't implying that is was a race or anything, I was simply saying congrats:thumbup: I will post the knife I am working on. I have the handles drying right now. I still am working on the sheath though. It seems that making a pouch for a fire steel is a bit tougher than I thought. We were orig. going to make a simple loop on the sheath for the fire steel, but I feel that it be too easy to fall out. So, I am working on a attractive, yet functional method of keeping it in the sheath with the knife. I should have it ready by this weekend.

Nick:)
