Who Scored a Tiger?

knowledge of how the shopping cart software works, skills with c++ (or something similar) and some time is all it would take. and the way every time a ak-47 or a war boar is relisted and immediately disappears or goes to low inventory does seem rather odd. especially when its happened at least a dozen times.

Ive done a bit of programming and I am confident that I could set up a bot for this given the desire and the days it would take me to investigate and write the code.

Won't happen though, I've got better things to do.

Really all I want is one Game Warden at a fair price. It would be a user, besides being a knife nut I am a hunter. This has gotten old real quick. How much bad will has been generated against Busse Knifes by this "unusual method of marketing?"

10 items left in company store ,LOL the bots have taken control:jerkit:

The horror!!!!!

Danger Will Robinson! Danger! :D

Seriously, ya'll can complain all you want about the system, but I've never had a problem getting Busses.

And I wouldn't know a bot if it bit me on the butt and then shouted, "Bot attack!"

My Busses are earned the old-fashioned way--with a pig snout and an F5 key.

If you pay the least bit of attention to the Busse forums, you should know about when new knives are gonna hit the system.

Well all I can see here is that there are a couple of greedy people around. I won't even bother with the store when this crap is going on. There is no reason why someone needs multiple knives at the expence of there socalled buddies not being able to get one.

I really feel like using the banned smily here.

P.S I wasn't even after a GW, just a little disapointing to see how some people are acting..

Speaking for myself, I'm not complaining. I do think its quite possible that theres some software at work though. but like ontheedge said, its just a theory. no way to ever prove or disprove it that I know of.

What a jip. Wicked fun way to spend 2 hours. Watching the inventory of lanyards and dog tags dissappear. What a party.

Someone's got a f%$#omg program that is adding contents to the cart.
I hit 10 War Boars in my cart and they were sold out. Ten minutes later, I dumped them and in ten seconds all ten War Boars were gone. Some scumbag is ruining it for everyone :(

Sour grapes is sour grapes. The trough has no mercy. Whatever happened to ....

NO REGRETS!!!!! :D

A lot of folks get multiple knives so they can use one and put one back.

Others get multiple knives for trade fodder so that they might finally get some of the older Busses they haven't been able to snag. If I hadn't gotten extra SMOGs, I never would have scored that Meaner I just posted recently.

Seems to me that the attitudes of folks have gone from NO REGRETS to too much whining about the system. If it ain't broke.....

I will concede, however, that bots, if they exist and are being used, are another story. I don't know beans about bots, but I wish there were a way that the system could block them. If you ain't gotta work for your INFI, then it just doesn't seem fair.

I think it's a lot more likely that a few people are getting bored with F5 and are just adding stuff to their carts and then dumping it while waiting for a stray tiger to show up.

Ok, someone, please tell someone to use only 1 bot next time. What the heck is going on over at BCS???? crazy.

Well I have no experience in programming, so therein lies my ignorance. Nevertheless, as someone here has already said, a bot (even if one is in play here) does not prevent a particular person from scoring. It may prevent somebody from scoring just by taking a knife, but it can't stop everyone from getting one. Moreover, bot or no, if something is not bought, it goes back into the store in a matter of minutes. Really, all I think this takes is perseverence. :)

"Interesting theory, but without evidence"...

There have been people on this very board talking about code they wrote to do the very thing we are all witnessing right now.

There are also programs tailored for EBAY and the like that could also be used.

Otherwise, there is a complete idiot out there buying lanyards like his life depends on it.:D

It does take some indeed take some sophistication to create these programs.

I think it take more to not actually use them.

Love and war and all that I suppose.

When was the last tiger sighting??
