Who still carries a Case Knife?

The 090 was an old red bone that was way lighter and more pink than I like so I dyed it as close to the old 70s bone color as I could manage. I think it turned out pretty good.
Turned out better than pretty good. Having tried a re-dye i know how hit and miss they can be, bit like a box of chocolates, but yours came out exceptionally well. And love that model of stockman.

Thanks! Yeah, I only discovered that pattern recently. It's a good one.

That’s a 6208 half whittler. It’s a single spring knife but I don’t know if that’s how they still make them or not. It’s around 3 1/4” closed. Easy to carry but big enough for most chores if you use your noodle.
Thanks for the info. :thumbsup::)
I have a yellow delrin pen knife from Case that I really like, and I thought maybe you had found one with bone covers. But I guess the half whittler would be very similar to a "bone pen knife" in terms of size and blade at each end.

I liked the tractor story better than any knife story that I have heard!!
Thank You for sharing!!

Thanks for the kind words; glad you liked the Case tractors story inspired by your tractor pic. :)

If you’re referring to a 32087 they are similar in size but I do prefer the 87 pattern better.

Right, I am referring to the 32087 (but I didn't know it - I don't know very many Case pattern numbers without looking them up). I see it's an eighth inch longer than the half whittler (not sure I'd notice that difference), and a half inch longer than the Peanut (that feels like a LOT to me).

VERY belated congratulations on those significant family events, Bruce; always grand to see the ceremonial Case! 🤓 :thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thank you GT!

Heading up to the health center to do a sleep study tonight (went fishing all day to wear myself out!). I don't think I'll need much in the way of a pocketknife, carrying this 1997 jigged Chestnut bone Eisenhower. OH

Here's a Half-Whittler that's been shown before but I like it a lot. It arrived under the name Burnt?Grilled Salmon or somesuch...but in reality a revolting pinkish white froth o_O A couple of visits to the Tea Sauna fixed that to my satisfaction.

5K Qs 5K Qs These are very similar to CASE Penknives, early models were closer still being single-spring. Now they're two spring and I at least think it's an improvement. Less skimpy, more to grip and no crinking needed either. Lot od scale choices including a very attractive deep Claret colour that's evaded me. Will have to round up my collection of them and put them on view.
