Sounds like a good season so far. Good luck up the coastThank you! I have had a very good Shad season this year, caught Shad in all four major river systems in NC - that was my goal. Caught the most in the Roanoke and the Neuse, less in the Tar, and the least in the Cape Fear. Getting ready to shift to saltwater (already got into one Bluefish run on Bogue Banks - the small snapper blues) next week trip up to Cape Hatteras to try for some of the Bull Drum and "Chopper" Bluefish. OH
Ps I'll have a Case Knife with me (and a Buck Knife too!)
Thank you. I like the sowbelly pattern. That one's giraffe bone. That is nice my friend. Love it.![]()

It is a sowbelly. yours is beautiful! Love bone handles. Mine is in stag, they don’t like to burn it too much, and I don’t have a problem with that. I’ve had it for around 12 years. How old is that Rancher? The blades & handle shape look alot like a Sowbelly.

Thanks. I have another Sowbelly stockman in ebony & one in the yellow synthetic. I like that they're roughly medium sized, but a little more hand filling than a regular medium stockman. It is a sowbelly. yours is beautiful! Love bone handles. Thank you Gary, that makes sense. Nice finish, suits the scale color very well.Digger Stubble as to the color of the S35vn blades it's more like an acid wash kind of thing, muted and not as reflective, looks good to me,

Have you mentioned the fact that the bible is a bit fuzzy on the subject of knee caps?Firefly, it is, one of my favorite shows, a shame that it ended way too soon. The wood is actually a couple of pieces of pine I glued together, routed two grooves on the underside which then allows it to rest across my desk drawer when opened, giving me another area to work on, very handy. The way I put the image on there was to print the image in reverse on some wax paper and then carefully layed it down and pressed it evenly so the ink transfered into the wood and then coated the wood with a clear finish.

As Shepherd Book was often noted as sayingHave you mentioned the fact that the bible is a bit fuzzy on the subject of knee caps?
It's a little shorter and thicker than when new.
I didn't come here to be attacked
Terrific working desk! I guess the scent of pine wood is lasting for some time?Firefly, it is, one of my favorite shows, a shame that it ended way too soon.
