Stockman is my favorite pattern. So, I do recommend. If you're asking if you should get CV or SS, I'd say it's up to you.
I like the patina CV takes on. But it costs time in maintenance. SS does not patina but is virtually maintenance free.

In regards to performance, I believe they are much closer than most believe. Not sure if I can post youtube links here. So, I can edit if it's an issue.

The one I show with the cutout nail nicks is a newer one with S35VN stainless blades. We'll see if it cuts any longer between stroppings than their CV or Tru-Sharp.

How does yours still look so new?
I got mine new as a child in the late 1970s. I’m pretty sure I carried it daily from 1993 until the early 2000s sometime, then it languished in a drawer, in a mug with some pennies and paper clips and stuff in it, until maybe 5 years ago.

Just got it a couple months ago in near mint condition. I'll scuff it up as time goes on.
