Who still carries a Case Knife?

My carry for a long weekend in the NC mountains, Case 6318 SS. OH

I've been a little busy / sidetracked and not able to keep up with the forums as much.

But, cool mountains streams are what I like to call home. Great pictures and hope you found your trout!!
Was beautiful until today, being lazy this morning as it pours outside the cabin. Fished a couple times, very small “darter” size trout, but peaceful and enjoyable. Big event was taking our youngest to the Autumn in Oz event on Beech Mountain yesterday - she had a great time. Bonus; besides Dollywood, this is the second venue I have been to in the mountains and no metal scans or bans on pocketknives! OH

I hope the weather has improved! It's been a long time since I've been to Dollywood. I tended to gravitate towards the national park 😝 It's where I feel I truly learned how to fly fish! And I'm glad the youngest had a great time at the Autumn in Oz. I'm sure it was a memorable experience!!

I've been pocketing this one for a few weeks now. Admittedly, it's bigger than what I actually need on an EDC basis. But I've always liked the aesthetics of the pattern. This is a 1965-'69 6265 SAB Folding Hunter from Case with their CV/carbon steel blades. Pretty sure it dates from 1965 specifically, as it has the older frame from the 'XX era' of 1940-'64, but with the 'USA' stamped blade and no dots of the '65-'69 era. I acquired it secondhand and it came to me with years of use and character already built in. But it obviously wasn't abused in that time and was well taken care of. Put my own edges on the blades and they sharpened up beautifully. It seemed to be a perfect user to me, without the worries of scuffing or damaging it, if I'd otherwise bought it mint.

I have one like yours, it appears to be unused. XX frame but 65 up blade stamp and drilled bolster. I've kept it unused as it was made the same year I was!

You made me remember a thought I had awhile back, and that was to find a pocket knife made in my birth year.now it will become my mission.
