Who still carries a Case Knife?

I thought the older green one was CS just like the new ones, is it CV? Regardless, that's a great looking pair. 👍

Thanks, they are great looking IMO as well. The original green is marked SS on the blade, brushed stainless. edit - the original green Wharncliffe was CV CS.

Thank you. All this time I thought the old green clip point was CS, like the wharncliffe of that design is. I missed the clip point and searched for a long time for it, I wouldn't have been looking as hard if I knew it was SS. I agree, matching steel would have been nice.

Possibly because they're using 1095 instead of the old "chrome vanadium", so you get a CS stamp for carbon steel instead of CV for chrome vanadium.

Quote didn't stick... Pfft!

OldHercDude OldHercDude What is a single-bladed stockman called? Don't think I've ever seen one. Or, maybe I have and didn't realize it. 🤔 If they make a single-blade sized like a medium stockman, that's my kinda knife!

Single-blade Stockman as far as I'm aware. Number on my blade is 6147. Recycled pic.

Boker makes several as well.

Well, dang. If you need me, I'll be Googlin'.
As I recall in 2002 there were two series of single blade offerings from Case. One series in the red jigged Delrin and one in jigged antique bone (Looks like amber bone but with more color in the light portions). I have owned the 6175 and I still own a 6147. They were only made in 2002 - but they will pop up on auction sites from time to time. OH

Been a busy week traveling for a sales meeting. Glad to be home, wife and I going down to Atlantic Beach to enjoy a wonderful looking fall weekend. Going to kayak in the sound today and surf fish out front tomorrow, so a good fisherman's knife is in order. Modern Case 2318PU CS - the awl is the perfect blade to drill tiny holes in Fish-Bite baits. The other two blades are everyday essentials. OH
