Who still carries a Case Knife?

Greg, thank you for showing the gorgeous red stag stockmen! The XX 47 is one of the finest knives I've seen!

I'm a big fan of the silver script knives, of which my Beer Belly is a fine example.

ZHoovie ZHoovie , Case did make this Mini Trapper with a caplifter a few years ago. The numbers must have been small, because I rarely see any. It is a great little knife. The Mini Trapper is a perfect size, and the caplifter is a great secondary. However it does not have the pizazz of black mamba black mamba , Jeff’s, Beer Belly!

Thank you Will Power Will Power , black mamba black mamba , and Old Hunter Old Hunter . XX era Case Red Stag is an enigma. I do not believe anyone knows why or how they created it or why they stopped using it. As for the second cut Red Stag, it must have been a SFO for someone. It seems to have been used in this version only for one production run of a few patterns. I wish they would use it more. In fact, I like it better than some of the first cut stag they currently use.

Yes, I missed the amber bone caplifter like you have. I did manage to get one in kirinite when they first released them. I agree, black mamba black mamba 's Beer belly has a lot of pizazz! 😉
Here's the one I have 👍

6207 Dogleg Jack from 1975. One of my favorite Case knives and patterns. I wish they still made these with the pen blade, but the Mini Trapper is nice too.

Agreed and that's a fine old example  Nevertheless, I find the Tony Bose re-interpretation of the Trapper more satisfying than the conventional type-having Wharncliffe in place of Spey. Here in Mini Trapper form, always found that name and the Mini Copperlock to be misleading, they're not tiny at all. Think CASE should've called them Demi-Trapper or at least Medium:D

Seeing all this nice stag prompted me to show this barlow... a gift from my older brother. He's been buying knives for a while, and has some really nice examples.... he leans toward the Seahorse whittler, probably has 30 or so... and he likes 4 blade congress style knives. He had this stag barlow that I really admired, and he said "it's yours"....
I think it's another one of Case's better efforts at putting good stag on a knife.... it's not too fat, and it's pretty well matched, in my opinion... I'm working on the edge, and am almost "there".....
The darker blade on the pile side is just a trick of the lighting... this is a TruSharp steel knife, and has never been used... it's #097 of 150 made for the Vulcan Knife club in Arkansas....
