Went out for a short woods walk with the pup after work this afternoon. People have been seeing cougars around lately, so I figured I’d have bigger teeth and claws!

Fresh Sodbuster Jr. I had a full size Sodbuster in the past but it was way to big for me to EDC so I got rid of it. I like this one a whole lot more.

The pistol handles them very well! All I can say is that it’s not very pleasant for me. It’s not bad with the Specials, but full-house loads are a handful. But, I didn’t buy it to be a range plinker, and if I need to use it to defend myself I probably won’t notice it. I bought it when I was living in Alaska, and just kept it because I like it.

But, I didn’t buy it to be a range plinker, and if I need to use it to defend myself I probably won’t notice it. I bought it when I was living in Alaska, and just kept it because I like it.

I figured on your end it was not pleasant. Like you said, if you had to defend yourself with you would not feel it.
I bet living in Alaska was great, esptif you enjoy the outdoors. The time of mostly darkness would be the hardest on me.

I was born and raised there, and lived there until I was 40. I guess when you don't know any different, its just "normal". I did a lot of outdoor activities when I lived there, and really enjoyed the short summers! Not a lot of sleeping- you saved that for winter! After moving south for over 10 years, I moved back for one year to spend time with my dad before he passed and the winters were more dark and cold than I remembered! Beautiful place, though!

I bet it is beautiful. It is a place I want to vacation in. I know 8 days will not scratch the surface or suffice the itch but it will have to do

Mine makes my thumb bleed, because I have a tendency to use a high grip and with full power loads the cylinder release cuts into my thumb. I'm going to have that part modified by my gunsmith when I get a chance

Got my SGTM knife for going out last night. Dressing up for me means jeans without holes and a pocketknife that I don't use at work.

100% agree, and Case has ruined their shield in the last 20 years with the tiny oval and script CASE that is barely legible on some knives. Barlow’s have that great big bolster just begging for some great brand stamping. OH

Well I agree with that choice, the smaller one carries really well and is up for most tasks, offers a lot of utility from a basic pattern, looks great too

Sodbuster on Rye. Some people claim you can slice bread without a serrated edge...well you can after a fashion if the bread is soft...but this one has a really armoured crust which also offers good tooth & gum work !
