Some great color AND great jigging on that one.Haven't been buying as many knives lately as in the past. But when I get a good one I try to share.
I've been hunting for a wharncliffe trapper from any manufacturer for quite a long time. They were/are a criminally under produced pattern in my mind. Well I finally got one with the release of these tequila sunrise bone models. Direct from dealer so price wasn't bad.
Good action, well centered blades, virtually no gaps in the backspring. The bone looks nice and is fit well. Going in the pocket today!
Next on my list to hunt is the hawbaker style knife, which as I understand it is a moose pattern with the spey substituted for a wharncliffe.

FWIW, it would be pretty easy to turn any moose with a spey into a moose with a wharncliffe. Sounds like something I would do anyhow.
