Who still carries a Case Knife?

I remember reading in one of the bladeforums threads that visible pins in the bolsters on case knives was considered a flaw that was covered under warranty, not sure of the validity of that statement but I know that can't be true today.
Seems ... strange ... Case would cover a cosmetic defect, when they specifically state "Blade rub comes with the pattern, and is not covered under warranty." no matter how bad it is, regarding two spring stockmans.

Oddly enough, all 6 of my Rough Rider 2 spring 3 blade (and the 4 spring 6 blade) stockmans, my 2 vintage USA Old Timer, 2 USA Imperial (1 clam shell, 1 with bolsters), bolstered Colonial, 2 KaBar, 1 (so far) Western, 2 offshore Old Timer 858 and 1 Uncle Henry 885 stockmans lack the blade rub "feature".
The only stockman I have that required work because of blade rub, was my Marbles D2 Sowbelly.
From what I have seen online (mainly you tube reviews) mine is an oddity. The ones I saw in the vids did not have that issue.

Of my 4 Case stockmans, (2 x375, 1 3318 and a 63087), I "lucked out".
Only the 3318 has a tiny bit of blade rub ... Not enough to noticably raise the pull on either blade.
(Could the rub be caused by filing the sheepsfoot kick to get the tip inside the blade well?)
I just noticed the 63087 has a proud sheepsfoot.
Since I never carry it, I think I will leave it be ... plus the sheepsfoot's nick is already nearly covered by the Spey.
No doubt it would be necessary to add a swedge to the spine of the Spey to reach the sheepfoot's nick. 🤨
